It does appear that, barring a last-minute miracle, Crono will win, meaning he will most likely face off against Sonic in the semifinals.

Here's hoping he can win that one...  We'll just have to turn back out Sunday and vote.

Man, my Samus & the Cheif prediction looks like it was way off O_o What happened to all those XBOX fanatics I was expecting to put the kabosh on Crono? How can Crono make it this far and yet Magus gets knocked off in the first round? I'll tell you how: Polls are retarded. And, no, that actually makes retards look bad.

Of the top leaders as far as most accurate brackets,(you could fill one out) about 40% or so had the overall winner as Crono. About 50% had Samus as the winner, and the other 10% made up of other characters. Anyway, the point being that Crono has a real good chance against Mega Man. Only 1 of the leaders had Mega Man as the winner.

Mega Man isn't the issue. Mario is the issue. If Crono goes into the finals, he's going to be outgunned. Mario has been a major presence on every Nintendo console and handheld. He has played a leading role in God knows how many games. Everyone knows Mario, even people who've never owned a Nintendo anything. He was and still is the face of video gaming in the 20th century. It'll be a real longshot for Crono to win.

I'm fairly certain that Crono HAS beaten Mario in the contest before. Unless it was in some weird fantasy world in my mind. Which who knows, maybe that's the case. Though I could swear...

*sigh...* So sad to see Crono Lose. I can do nothing but give my vote. To be perfectly honest though, I am very happy Crono has been able to actually stay in the running against Mario. Mario is most certainly one of the most difficult characters to beat.
