Movie: Primer

Ok I would recommend that if you have NOT seen this movie, go out and rent it IMMEDIATELY.  And don't read anything about it.  My friend just said "you HAVE to see this movie" and told me not to read anything about it.  I took his advice and it was awesome.  I think if I DID read about the movie then it would have made it slightly less enjoyable, but I know I'm in the right forum for an audience that would appreciate it and the questions posed therein.

You CAN however see the trailer, though I wouldn't recommend that since if you "read in" to the trailer, then you CAN figure it out, and that kinda spoils the ending IMO.  And if you don't like any forms of independant films, then maybe this isn't for you either.  There's nothing wrong with the way it's filmed except for slight problems in lighting, but eventually you don't notice it, and it adds a more "real" feeling to it IMO.

Spoilers Below!!!!  STOP if you want to truely enjoy this movie.

Far enough for no accidental spoilers.

So what'd you think about it?  Scared the hell out of me from the way they deal with the theorums of time travel, how you do it, etc.  The way they show it as a slow exposition of "why can this grow so fast?" to "exit at point A" in the simple diagram.  Very nice that the movie didn't NEED special effects to get you involved.

Just wondering what others thought.

The movie's name is "Primer".  Sorry, I guess the title could be taken another way.

Is this a movie that's already come out in cinemas a while ago or one that's in cinemas now?

It won some awards at 2004 sundance film festival, and it's in the "new release" sections of most video rental places.

So no, it's not in theatres, and thus is cheap to rent.
