I don't know. Like someone mentioned, Magus has Techs, not Elements, so he could use his best attacks more han once. But say all of Magus' Techs were converted to Elements, then it would be a closer duel. Lynx is innate black, and I'm guessing Magus would be too, so Elements aren't too useful. It would really come down to physical power.  And Lynx has more. As much as I hate to say it, Lynx would win. Unless Magus got lucky with Black Hole. Or if Magus' Techs were still Techs. Then Magus by a mile. But then again, with Elements, Lynx can still equip white ones to lay the smackdown. Basically what forums like these come down to, is which character you like more.:P

You make a good point, but if Lynx's elements were converted to techs, then it be a much harder battle. With both of them able to use their strongest techs, it would go down to who's MP will run out first.

It's senseless to pit two characters from entirely different battle systems etc. against each other, even theoretically. It's too incompatible; null.

But it sure is fun! :lol:

But the really problem is if we put them both in Elements mode, then Magus could put white elements to kick Lynx's ass and vice versa.

But if we put them in Tech mode, Lynx would have to have a certain amount of MP to even cast Forever Zero!

This probably(misspelled) doesn't make any sense

Magus could equip Elements, they're everywhere and anybody can equip them. There's no way for Lynx to somehow obtain Magic out of thin air. Plus, being a robot thing would probably ufck that up anyhow like w/Robo. Magus' got all them nifty magic barriers too...and he could up his magic resistence...or turn Lynx into a frog or something...>_>

And w/the Amulet Lynx couldn't take the sucka approach like he did w/Kid & try and poison Magus. Booya Lynx! STATUS LOCKED! Or something...

Oh yeah, Burning Zeppelin, I used a fancy thing called the Edit Button. I use it and so should you and all of our lovely friends here at the Compendium. :wink:

Lynx isn't a robot.  Hes Serge's father with FATE's brain.  Hes biological.  He could, theortically, get magic, however doubtful.

I think Magus would wipe the flood with Lynx.  Magic has a much more combat potiental than Elements do.  I think its fair to compare battle systems between these games because they are set in the same universe.  Plus, Magus could potienally be raised so he could defeat Lavos alone.  What can Lynx do to answer that?  Even at his highest star level, all they fight in CC is a sleeping/incomplete Time Devourer, and beings who couldn't destroy the planet in one blow.

Plus, think of Magus solo w/his best weapon...Heh? Heh? It'd do more damage (depending on how you believe he becomes stronger solo w/it though, I suppose...but I think that's in/for another thread...)...
