What the hell...Your joke topics are stupid, Bobcat...:P

Lynx is no match for Magus' magical might (lookit all them M words! what do you call it when you do something like that? i forget so much English classes). 3 Techs R no match for 7 (it was just 7, right?). Even as FATE, Lynx'd have troubles w/Mr. Demon King hisself...

edit: again I (or, I guess it would have been BZ this time at the fault of mine) fall victim to the Thread Review being all backwards... >_>

Alliteration?
But see, I WAS right. Magus is more powerful, and i havent played the game! Is this some sort of mystical power i have acheived? I can see a man in the shadows, with a red bow tie, and he is holding a dragon. Is this my fear of commitment, or am i magical?
This isnt my topic >.>

Zeppling, don't post anything to do with CC till you've played it. Don't pick up from what people say.

Anyway, it's evenly tied. Lynx' Forever Zero could in fact be as close as Magus' Dark matter. The only difference is that Magic hurts anyway unless they have a barrier, whilst elements only work better if the person which they are cast on is an innate opposite to the attack.

Some tech's acctually seem like non magic oriented attacks similar to what Crono and co use (like Slash and slurp cut and mega bomb).

But I think it's just heavily based that Magus would win anyway, since he just could, and Lynx is simply like a computer on the inside with a human/panther shell.

Sorry If I soudned harsh. I just hate people who don't play one game and think they know it already.

I think that was the case with Lord Chandlor till he played CC, before that he just tagged onto what someone else said, I think Oo.

Bobcat, it has no business in the Characters, Plot and Themes, which is intended for serious discussion. This belongs in General.

Topic Moved

In Radical Dreamers, Lynx is a total badass.  When Magil* infiltraited Lynx's mannor to rescue Kid, they fought to a stalemate.  During the second infiltration with Serge and Kid, Lynx was prepared for Magil and disabled him easily.  Radical Dreamers downplays the power of the characters, but Lynx is protrayed as a terrifying and murderous warlord.

The version of Lynx in Chrono Cross is an entirely different character, who is a lot less impressive in my oppinion.  There isn't really a good way to compare Lynx and Magus's power, but I don't think he would be a danger to Magus.

*For those not in the know, Magil from Radical Dreamers is the very same Magus from Chrono Trigger incognito.

Hey, Zaperking, you don't have to be that bad...    Indeed, if somebody hasn't played CC, they don't know it (I had imagined a totally different game from the posts here, before I played it). However, everyone has the right to have their own opinion, that's democracy.

About Magus VS Lynx (Lynx from CC), I vote for Magus.
*Firstly, Magus has Techs, not Elements, so he can cast anything as many times as he wants. He is also not affected by the Field Effect and he doesn't need to physically attack before he uses his magic.
*Secondly, Magus has more HP than Lynx does (both as playable characters, not as bosses).
*Thirdly, Magus is a good guy, not a villain - and good guys are always supposed to win in the end.

Not really, Magus can be killed by Frog, so that statment doesn't count.

Yes, Frog can kill him, but Magus is treated as a villain until he joins the party. As a PC, he is much, much, much, much stronger than Froggy.
