I chose fire before reading...although Earth is my astrological element...I've read that for every nine Virgos one was meant to be a Leo, so I go by that and say that I'm actually Fire. It suits me pretty well on most aspects even though I'm more suited as a Virgo...but w/e...Fire rules! Heh eh heh heh *continues Beavis laugh*

I am absolutely 100% air. I always am talking to myself, daydreaming, planning things that probably will never happen.

Yeah...you're one of the few people around here who I think could legitimately be a preponderant Air innate.

Most people have a clearly dominant innate, and very seldom is it Air. They also have one or two of the other elementals with which they associate to a lesser degree. For me, it's an overwhelming Air preponderance, then Fire at a distant No. 2, and then Rock. (Or "Earth," but I didn't want to discriminate against Crono's Planet.) Where Water is concerned, I am utterly incapable of the sort of emotionality that so many people swear by.

So, being Air innate with Fire next in line, you can imagine my chagrin that Fire and Air are disproportionately the choice of people who have taken the poll. I just can't buy it. I think I must have written poor descriptions of the elementals. Oh well! It's all in good fun.

It's going to be even worse if people start tying the elemental types to the Zodiac. I know that's been done in the past, but that wasn't my intent in making the topic. Astrology is utter bunk. I think it's much more interesting to talk about the elementals in terms of how they actually apply to one's personality, from a psychological perspective. The elemental objects themselves--rock, water, fire, and air--are simply metaphors for the qualities with which they are associated.

Keeping this poll credible? Are you under the assumption that people are lying about their personalities to try to fit under a certain category or something? I just don't see the sense in that, and it's rather irritating to see people putting their opinions down and having them disproved simply because the, "statistics don't fit."

It's everybody's opinion, anyways...all I see it is people reading the descriptions and trying to match their own personalities to what best fits, and if it's a certain element, than so be it. You can't really say what people are and aren't over the 'net anyways...
