...well I guess I'll follow suit.
It should be noted that according to the picture included in the .rar, DJ Epoch is simply the "host", not 'the' DJ/arranger/mixer/whatever. As for DJ Epoch's additional vocals...I found them very irritating. Yeah, I could tell through listening to later tracks that they were supposed to be more comical than anything, but they were too loud and more annoying than funny. This album would've shone more without it.
As for compromised: MAJOR props. You have a good ear and good skills. Melding these CT tracks with rap and rather decent beats (at least according to this modern era's definition) worked surprisingly well. This is an album I'd spend money on. And I personally hate most rap.
The only tracks that bugged me as far as musicality goes are the Missy Elliot one (actually my favorite except the vocals in the middle don't work at all; they sound like they change from minor to major or are in a different key or something that clashes big time with the background music) and the Milkshake one (seems the ripped vocals were in a different key than the CT music, at least during the verses, making it sound totally off and ruining it for me), which apparently was done by JC.
My biggest question is: how did you get the vocals from their original songs in such quality and proper placement without getting anything else from their original tracks? That boggles my mind...o_O
Overall, I'd probably listen to most of them once in a while in the future. The biggest downfalls are DJ Epoch's extremely annoying vox. They just...ugh. They scream of poser. Actually they scream more of poser trying to be funny more than someone funny pretending to be a poser, and it's just too loud to enjoy. And that JC track just isn't enjoyable, though he's good with playing around with the background track.
After listening to this, it made me remember two things. One: how much I really dislike rap (lol), and 2) how much I really love the CT music.
I would've enjoyed this much more with vocals ripped from Black Eyed Peas and Eminem
But as I said...I hate rap, and this is still fun to listen to. Again, major props to compromised.
