maybe the flames are frozen in time.

LOL so funneh. But seriously, they could be spirit flames or kyuubi flames or something. Like the souls of dead reptites.

That sounds....

resonable, it's probably as close as we will get to figuring it out. :?

The flames are green, so, maybe...

I'd rather think that the lights are being fueled by the rotting remains of the actual dead Reptites who didn't make it. They would have turned into natural gas, coal, oil etc. right? After so many millions of years :P

With that logic, how would there be any surviving reptites at all? I mean, if there are some that are seemingly perfectly preserved, while others have decomposed to the point of dust and both are inhabiting the same area, then something's kinda screwy.

What about the flames of the torches though?

The same thing that powers the torches in the Sun Keep.

Survival of the fitest my dear friend, some reptiles have better life spans, and that's what'll survive.

There is a known, surviving reptite.  The Green Ambler.

And in the Reptile ending, a human takes his place. I think.

Obviously a human wearing a costume for the festival.

Common sense. How can one single Reptite be alive in 1,000 AD if the Reptite species got extinguished some sixty millions of years before?

It's obviously a guy in a costume just like that knight is a guy in a costume. Otherwise there'd be panic and skewering. Ironically, in the Reptite ending, the "human" is probably a reptite in a costume. I'm thinking that Reptites are mythical monsters to the humans and vice versa.

Still, 65 million years and some stay completely preserved and the others are dust apparantly feeding a flame? I could see that situation occuring over 100 years, maybe, but over 65 million? It seems like the strongest survived *too* well over that span of time.

Well, It doesn't help "Lost World" idea that, the Rust Tyrano, or should I say Black Tyrano?, looked very undead like. o.o

*look at what Rust Tyrano look like* Never mind, he doesn't look undead like. o.o

Hm.... maybe it one of enemies sound very dead?

Though, none of the enemies LOOK dead. o.o

It looks almost exactly like the other Tyrano, just a different color.
