I'm glad Mother 3 is finally on it's way. I loved Earthbound to death for SNES, and I honestly can't wait for it to arrive on GBA next spring.

Starmen.net are having a heyday, they have been holding out for so very long with their petitions, letters and constant devotion to their favorite game getting a sequal, that was at one time canned.

Does such a site sound familiar?  :D

Anyone else looking forward to this new Earthbound game?
I am, especially since it's being released for Gameboy Advance, 2D graphics make me very happy.

I, too, am very excited about this. In a way, I'm glad it's being released on GBA, so it can have more down-to-earth graphics that won't be detracting effort from the rest of the game.

FINALLY! God, I've been waiting for that forever! I'd be happy to see a new game with the same style of graphics and gameplay, it was awesome. But I'm not in favor of it being on a handheld...I like my RPGs on the big screen with the freedom for my hand to move around the controller as needs be. *sigh* Guess I'll have to 'dil'.

Oh, almost definitely. If this were on a Sony or MS system, I'd have my doubts about this, but not with Nintendo. They seem to deny the existence of the Japanese games more than anyone (See the recent Fire Emblem game, which was actual FE7 or something in Japan).

Yeah, FE7: Blazing Sword was simply Fire Emblem here.  Anyway, I think Earthbound sounds better than Mother.

Mother sounds more, strangely enough, profound. And when someone says, Mothere 3.0, it sounds all sci fi ish

I would be elated if they were to release all 3 GBA games at once, stateside shortly after the completion and release of Mother 3. I know we never got the first 2 GBA offerings, but I would not hesitate to buy all 3 if they were to be released here all at once. I would even hold off on playing through 3 and play through them in order.

Even if it isn't released here, I'm sure a translated ROM patch would be created by absolutely RABID fans who awaited it's release.


Yeah, I'd rather they keep the 'Earthbound' name, since it's what we started the series here as. Comparing the names 'Earthbound' and 'Mother' right now, of course I'm going to choose 'Earthbound', it's what I'm used to and know the series as. But I could easily have said 'Mother' if that's what I knew it as. I wonder why they called it 'Mother' in the first place? 'Earthbound' makes sense, aliens and all that... >_>

If I'm not mistaken, the GBA Mother 1 & 2 were just ports...It'd be cool to see remakes/updates of them though...

Mother 3...good idea.

Name? Hmm...Mother Earthbound? :P Maybe not...
