Well, Kino is Ioka's chief (Ayla proclaims him chief, and she becomes her wife anyway), King Guardia XIII and King Guardia XXXIII are... kings of Guardia, the Arris Director is... the Arris Director, and Doan is the leader of the human survivors in Arris. Marle's ancestors and descendants are leaders in 5 out of 6 "Entity eras". The only era that remains without counting the End of Time is 12,000 BC. So.....

It can't be; the Zeal royal family was eradicated. Even if Schala survived the Ocean Palace Incident in the Lavos Timeline, the stay with the Time Devourer would have ensured she could not bear children in the Keystone Timelines. Additionally, if the royal family really did survive, they would have kept the surname Zeal and have founded their own settlement shortly after the fall. Instead, "Guardia" was created in 1 A.D. by people of mixed Earthbound / Enlightened heritage, and we see no one in the Zeal royal family among the living in Last Village.

ZeaLitY makes my point . The Zealian royal line cant be there , and only a few Zealians actually survived the crash . We see them in Alghetto when the Black Omen takes to the skies . So , what few Zealians are left eventually interbreed with the 'ghetto people , and are absorbed into the bloodline . Therefore , Guardia's blood has to come from someone or other in the 'ghetto .

Of course, find two characters whose sprites don't bear a generic resemblence (aside from magus, limited to humans only). I mean, damn.. there are at least 20 Human Glenn's running around.


Theoretically, everyone is related to everyone else if you go back far enough (even without the creationist theory), or we're so close as to be related anyway, with all the breeding between our respective trees.

Heck, looks can change in less than ten generations. A family can go from having a characteristic nose to having exceedingly large eybrows and an ordinary nose in three or four generations.
The fact that someone looks like someone else is no way to base relation, after all, it could even be a coincedence that they look similar.
You need better, more substantial clues like items being passed down, or um... something else...

For the Zealian royal family, and if you take away all that hair dying bullshit (which it is), the Zealian royal family is most likely related to the Lubarians (forgot the spelling). They seemed smarter than the Iokan's anyway, which might mean they were the ones who found the flame first, and it explains why Zeal was like one of the first enlightened ones because she harnessed Lavos' Magic etc.

Zaper brought up an interesting point there.  The Zealots probably ARE descendents of the Larubans, what with the purple hair, and the non-fighting/Enlightened Ones stuff. The Zealots may be connected somewhat with the line of Guardia, what with the Pendant and all, but Schala's pendant could have turned up anywhere. Or perhaps Aliza is a descendant of Zeal somehow...    Here's my screwed-up family line:

Anyway, I wasn't meaning it as an assumption. But in most RPG's or games where someone goes "OMG HE/SHE LOOKS LIKE ME!", it usually means that they're related. Sometimes in Anime's too.
