Desktop Themes
« on: January 17, 2006, 02:53:12 am »
First off, are desktop themes still a "norm" with XP? I've never been too heavily into them. But lately I've been craving a CT Desktop Theme.

I tried searching for one...and it's been a sad search. Everything I've found has been for a Windows previous XP.

Then I thought...why doesn't the Compendium have one for each game? That'd be kinda cool.

So, if Desktop Themes are still possible and easy to integrate into XP as in days before...are there any volunteers to do something like that?

Or at least direct me to a location of a decent theme. That'd be great.

You have to be careful when you talk about themes these days, because the themes you are thinking of aren't actually called themes.
Themes: Desktop icons and wallpaper only.
"Visual styles": Everything else, windows, etc. - ie. Luna is the default visual style for XP.

Well, I'm also talking about the sounds.

As far as I know, there aren't any sound "themes" as such - but you can modify a whole lot of them from the control panel.

Well yeah...but I'd rather have someone else do it for me and give me a quickie install program and have it all set!

Such is the way of our generation: laziness.

Well if you wanted a Chrono theme, I'm sure my sound effect pack would help a whole heap ;)

This is sorta on topic, I have a Chrono Trigger winamp skin. The skin is modeled off of the menu and text boxes in the game. I could PM it to you if you want, for I forgot where I got it from.
