For over a year, a FAQ writer and Chrono fan named rhyxx has been composing his own Chrono Cross walkthrough. In my own references to Gamefaqs for research at the Compendium, I've found his work to be of a transcendent quality; it's one of the few FAQs that actually feature treasure chest and hidden item locations and reliable boss drops and steals. It also documents Elements to be found in each area; the actual walkthrough aims to help one achieve all characters in the game and explore each and every sidequest and scene. The Chrono Compendium is now proud to host this FAQ, as it will no doubt expressly benefit new Chrono Cross fans and old veterans taking strolls through the game. You can find it with the other comprehensive guides for Radical Dreamers and Chrono Trigger at the walkthrough entry on the encyclopedia.

Secondly, Yasunori Mitsuda's Chrono Cross guitar arrange book is back in print. It features tablature for several of Cross's best pieces; you can order it from Procyon Studio. If you are outside Japan, only international money orders will be accepted.

A CC guitar arrange book... so when we thought Mitsuda was making a guitar arrange soundtrack, maybe it was a translation error or a typo and all that was ever planned was just a book, not an audio disc?

Well, that was an accurate translation. He's still supposed to have some kind of arrange music coming, though I guess there's no hope anymore.

I've just found something about it in an interview from SquareSound. Here's what Mitsuda said:

Quote from: Yasunori Mitsuda
Regarding the Arrange Version of the Chrono Cross soundtrack, it's still in progress right now. But as I learned through my work in Kirite, I know now that I shouldn't try to compose or arrange songs while working on other projects. I'm not going to try to rush myself to get this album completed, so the release date isn't set yet.

Great; I'll get that out.
