Does Chrono Have a Dad?  Is there any reference to his Dad in the game?  Does he even exist?

Hes not in the game, but I highly doubt Crono was a virgin birth.

I've heard a theory before that his dad was the entity, but I highly doubt that.  I have no idea.

What the Heck is this entity thing supposed to be anyway?  I saw a few other posts about it but didn't understand.

Because Crono relates with Jesus some people say the Entity (ala God) is his father.
DUDE, look at the Search button. Use it. Many threads have been filled with shit about Cronos dad.

No problem. I used to do the same thing when I came.
I'm pretty sure there was a conversation about this...

Play Chrono Trigger, do the Restore the Forest sidequest, and get to the camp fire scene.  They talk about the Entity there.

Masato already said that Crono, The Guru's were not based on the bible. Nothing in the game was.

In all likelihood Crono was just intended to be an only child to a single mother. Beyond that it's just speculation. Crono's father was probably a regular man, just as his mother is just a regular woman. Thus, he was most likely taken by mortal illness or temptation. Coulda' died from a heart attack, ambushed by the monsters of the forest on the way to the castle, who knows! I really and truly doubt there’s any grand design behind Crono's father, like he's the 'entity' or he's some great grand warrior of a lost age, etcetera.

Zeality is Crono's father.

Seriously though, you'd think they'd have mentioned something about it during the game. Since they didn't, I think it's best to assume like others have that Crono's dad isn't around anymore.

Maybe there's something in the Japanese script's dialogue.

Crono's dad probably died, or maybe he is like Ness's dad from Earthbound... off doing some buisness somewhere, never has a chance to come home.

This is only speculation, but I always thought Crono's father was a soldier who died in a war somewhere.  This would be one of the reasons Crono was so dedicated to sword fighting.

In that case I think he was more of a minor local hero who died, and Crono took up swordfighting to learn how to protect himself and his mother.  Probably his father said stuff like, "Always be brave son, and protect those you love, because if you protect them well enough, nothing can steal them from you."

I also think Crono's father is like Ness's. The only difference is that in CT, the additional "joke" is that he's never mentioned at all.
