I think Lavos wasn't created at all, it's just some kind of animal with alot of power from another planet.

Why would later humans create a creature that there would be historical records of because it would happen after Crono and crew defeats him?  I would think that if humans would have the capability to create Lavos in the future that they would know better because they would have some type of record of what it is capable of.  It's an interesting theory, just not a plausible one.  Even if the Guardia record didn't survive, keep in mind that there were other people from other time periods that knew what happened.  I doubt any records from Ayla's or Magus' would survive that long, but there is still Robo.  Even if he did turn into the Prometheus circuit, he probably had a way to record what happened.  Somebody in the future is bound to find one of the records because there would be 4 at least floating around.

Also don't forget if Lavos never came then magic would have never appeared and humans may have evolved very differently...  It would have taken them longer to evolve and learn technology, especially with no magical aid...  the Kingdom of Zeal probably could never have been created at all without Lavos.
Thus its highly unlikely they could launch this being into space at the speed you are talking about...

The Humans would have lost and the Reptites would have ruled.... Simple as that. Perchance that they did survive, they'd still have elements at their disposal, but by 2000AD, they may have still been close to the 65,000,000 people, since their brain didn't evolve that fast.

This is really nice. Well done. Do you have a way of dropping the power version for a Lavos Spawn by chance?? I'll have to look at the different stats more closely later tonight, but you've done an excellent job!
