Okay, lets get this started with the first on the list, Dalton.

Where did we last see Dalton?  On the Blackbird and Epoch.  Dalton went to summon the Golem Boss, who had previously been defeated by Crono.  The Golem Boss didn't appear, and Dalton was sucked off the Epoch.

But what was he sucked off into?  Was he just sucked off the ship, to fall to his death?  Was he sucked into the portal to place X?  Was he somehow gated?

Lots of people think he was gated.  Some say he was gated to 1005, where he staged the Fall of Guardia, etc etc.  Well, thats just bogus.  If Zealians had the power to create gates at will, why would Belthasar be building the Epoch if they could already time travel?  This doesn't work on so many levels.

Its quiet probable that he was just transported to where ever Golems come from.  Maybe some random island somewhere.  Golems are litterally dolls of earth that are animated to life, so maybe hes transported into the ground somewhere.  Regardless, I think hes dead, or transported somewhere of no return, where he eventually dies.

Oh, well you don't necessarily ave to discuss the article's content; you can talk about form and presentation too.

At any rate, I'm stopping my progress at

http://www.chronocompendium.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=2333

Until I do the reveiw for the History forum, which is integral to the Fall of Guardia.

Frog and Magus are obviously closely related. One cannot speculate on the fate of one without speculating on that of the other.

We really have to look at it in two ways: Magus lives/Frog remains and Magus dies/Glenn returns. Unfortunately, we get conflicting evidence on this issue from the series.

On the one hand, we have the PSX ending, with Glenn clearly human, and on the other we have Lucca's letter to Kid, implying that Janus is still out there, searching. I'm inclined to take the latter more seriously.

So Janus lives. We can then assume that Glenn does not turn back. But is he still treated as a monster? I doubt it. With the Masamune restored, and Magus and his henchmen vanquished, there is no reason for Frog to be treated as anything but the hero he is.

So where does he go? I doubt he'd stay in his little hide-away, now that he no longer needed to hide.

He might have wound up in the mountains.
Pro:  Frog is seen in some endings returning to his human form here. It is where Frog takes the Gold rock, and where the Masamune was housed.
Con: It's where Cyrus was killed, and the curse began. (I think)

He could have also wound up near Guardia castle, perhaps in the Cathedral.
Pro: Puts him in a good position to protect the Queen.
Con: Ends up getting demolished at some point. If it were a shrine to a hero, it would have remained.

I suppose I would agree. The anime cutscenes weren't thrown in there by some random scenarist; they were overseen by Masato Kato, who was credited as a Supervisor for the new release. We already interpet most of the PSX cutscenes as fact; the Fall of Guardia, for instance, is of gargantuan importance to plot analysis. I suppose it's not a stretch to say that Kato intended Frog to become human again after everything was said and done. Still, I wonder why Magus was totally left out of that ending cutscene.

There are theorys by some that after Magus enters the gate at the end of Chrono Trigger, Magus' spell on Frog wears off.  But by evidence of Lucca's letter, Magus is alive.

Maybe Frog found some other means of breaking the curse Magus put on him?  Hes bound to be considered a national hero by that time, and certainly they could find another wizard, or something.  Maybe Magus himself broke it, but it would take time for the actual effects to wear off.

I'll go down the list, and give thoughts on the easy ones to answer:
Doan: In the saved future, director of the Arris dome, possibly.  Probably alive and happy somewhere.
Gato:  Did whatever robots do until they get destroyed in when Lynx attack's Lucca's orphanage.
Mystic Warriors:  As in, the warriors who served under Magus?  After the defeat of Magus and Ozzie, there was no big Mystic leader who remained to preach hatred of humans after the war, so they peace was easyer to come by a few generations down the line.
Ayla:  Lived her life with Kino.  Had children.

Well, those are the easiest.

On Gato: I don't thing Gato had a concious experience of any sort. I think he was just a simple machine, far too primitive to have any notion of "self".

On Toma: We know what happens to him. Toma continues searching the globe for treasures until his eventual death. Hell, the exact date is in the game.

I think that killing Magus would remove the curse on Glenn, but he also has the power to remove the curse himself by conquering his inner demons.

It is similar to how Glenn transformed the Masamune with the power of his resolve after meeting Cyrus's ghost.

About Frog: He reverted to human form, the PSX cutscene proves it. Plus Magus went to 12,000 B.C., so by 600 A.D. he's dead and the curse on Frog is lifted. As for the drawing in the orphanage, it could be a drawing of a Nu and not of Frog. But if it's a drawing of Frog, then it would prove that the drawings were made from photographs and not from actual reunions with the CT cast.

Also, should Fiona be mentioned in the article? The woman depicted on the glass window in Viper's library *might* be her (Viper>Porre>Fiona's Forest)... It would make sense, but maybe it's a bit farfetched (or just subtle).

Gurus: Melchior and Gaspar probably stayed exactly where we left them, though I wonder what Melchior was doing during the fall of Guardia.  Was he even still alive at the time?  He was old.  We know what Belthasar was up to due to the events in Chrono Cross

Johnny: I'm not even sure he would exist in the new future.  Was he created by humans or as a result of all the mutants around.  It's possible either way, like him being some type of old racing idol before the day of Lavos, but would he survive for 300 years?

Mother Brain: I got the idea when I first played Chrono Cross that FATE was the Mother Brain version of what happens if Lavos didn't come and destroy the world.  I know it holds no ground, but I couldn't help making the connection.

I really, REALLY think that both Magus survived and Glenn was freed from his curse. And that it was Magus himself that removed it. Saying something like "Pfft, you`re not even worth my curse".

I see Magus/Frog much as I see Vegeta/Goku from DBZ. A noble, proud but twisted prince vs. a guardian of the kingdom/planet. None are really evil, just at opposite sides. Both are eternal rivals, but not really enemies anymore.

Hello all 1st post longtime lurker >=)

Here's my take on the following:

C. GATO: Destroyed during Lynx and Harle's assault on Lucca's orphanage.
E.  Johnny: I always assumed after the time crash he became the monster known as the Highway Man inhabiting the Dead Sea.  They look very much alike ie: The Shades and Mohawk.  Also the whole Speed Demon feel is present on both of them.  Highway Man also does resemble Johnny's transformed state when you Race him in CT.
F.  Mother Brain:  I felt like her very essence/programming is survived in FATE.
G.  Mystic Warriors:  Ozzie, Flea, and Slash all somehow ended up at the End of Time in CC and seemed to serve as replacements for Spekkio from CT.  A theory on Spekkio, It seemed to me he was imprisoned there, perhaps he was some great conquerer at one point in time and was made to "do hard time" at the End of Time to make up for his war-mongering.  Since he was the "God of War" perhaps his duty was to merely pass on his knowledge to team Crono then was allowed to rejoin time like normal.  Ozzie, Flea, and Slash appearing in his place perhaps means that their hateful ways have brought them a simular fate.

continuing....

V. Robo:  Robo aka Prometheus surprisingly is the only CT character in CC whose future I found to be rather cut and dry. Robo would make his bravest and final stand as the protector of the Frozen Flame.

VI. Lucca:  She seemed to have a feeling of great forbodding in regards to Crono, Marle, and herself as is evident in her letter to Kid.  She knew SOMETHING was going to keep her from being there for Kid in the future. They were all bravely willing to deal with whatever consequences their time traveling brought them she states.  I think Lucca tried her best to prepare Kid for this but it seemed she knew that the upcoming battle was one she couldnt win.  She would eventually get abducted by Lynx and Harle for the purpose of releasing the Frozen Flame.  It's likely that when FATE saw that she couldn't or wouldn't realease the Frozen Flame she was killed.

Here's my contribution.

Belthasar

Last seen in Terra Tower in 1020 AD, Another Dimension.  His whereabouts in the unified timeline are unknown.  He is probably playing Poker with the Entity. :P

Dalton

Last seen passing through his golem summoning portal in 12,000 BC.  Presumably he died, but he may also have appeared in another time-period or dimension.  His current whereabouts are unknown.

Doan

Last seen departing in a Time-Gate at the Moonlight Parade in 1000 AD.  This version of Doan may actually be from the new timeline.  Doan is probably the dome supervisor in 2300 AD.

Gato

Last seen Lucca's house, 1015 AD, Another dimension.  Gato was destroyed in a house fire during the events of Chrono Cross.  Gato's status, or whether Lucca's house was even destroyed  in the unified timeline is unknown.

My belief is that Lucca's orphanage was not destroyed in the new timeline and Gato should be intact.

Gaspar

Last seen in the End of Time.  His location should be protected from any time-line changes.  Gaspar may have stayed in the End of Time for the remainder of his life or travelled to another location.  His current whereabouts are unknown.

Johnny

Last seen in the Dead Sea, 1020 AD, Home dimension as wreakage.  The Dead Sea was destroyed by FATE during the events of Chrono Cross.  Johnny's status in Another dimension is unknown.  Johnny's status or the existence of the Dead Sea in the unified time-line are unknown.

My belief is that Chronopolis would not be warped to the past in the unified time-line so Johnny should still be in 2400 AD.

Melchior

Last seen during the Moonlight Parade in 1000 AD.  Presumably, he lived out the rest of his life in that time-period.

Mother Brain

Mother Brain was last seen 2300 AD in the desolate future, and was destroyed by the time travellers.  In the new future, Mother Brain's design was incorporated into FATE in Chronopolis.  The status of the actual Mother Brain computer in the new timeline is unknown, she might still be coordinating the Robot Factory in 2400 AD.

Schala

Last seen in the DBT during the conclusion of Chrono Cross.  Presumably Schala is searching through time and dimensions for Serge and/or Magus.  Where Schala ended up during the ending sequence is anybody's guess.

Toma

Toma the 1st died in 600 AD in the Dragon's Claw.

Toma the 13th was last seen in 1000 AD, and probably lived out the rest of his life there.

Toma the 14th was last seen exploring the El Nido in Another dimension (or taking up gardening in Home dimension).  He probably explored El Nido in the unified time-line.

Ayla

Last seen in 65 million BC and most likely lived out the rest of her life there.

Frog

Last seen in 600 AD and most likely lived out the rest of his life there.

The Masamune

The Masamune was last seen in the DBT during the conclusion of Chrono Cross (as the Mastermune).  Serge probably didn't keep it when he returned to 1020 AD, since he lost his memories.  The status of the Masamune, Mastermune or Masa, Mune and Doreen in the unified time-line are unknown.

Robo

Robo was last seen in 2300 AD.  Somehow, Robo was incorporated into FATE as the Prometheus Lock in 2400 AD, and was later deleted in Chronopolis in 1020 AD, Another dimension.  Robo's status in Home dimension is unknown.  Robo's status or the existence of Chronopolis or FATE in the unified time-line is unknown.

My belief is that FATE was not constructed in the unified time-line, so Robo should still be intact in 2400 AD.

Lucca

Lucca was last seen at the Moonlight Parade in 1000 AD.  In 1015 AD, Another dimension she was captured by Lynx and Harle to disable the Prometheus Lock and was supposedly killed.  Lucca's status or whether or not she was captured in the unified time-line is unknown.

My belief is that Lucca was not captured in the unified time-line and would presumably live out the rest of her life in that time-period.

If Lucca was involved in Belthasar's plans, either the orphanage scenario was not as it seemed, or Belthasar rather callously orchestrated her capture and possible death.  I find the whole situation suspicious.

Crono and Marle

Crono and Marle were last seen at the Moonlight Parade in 1000 AD.  It is implied in Lucca's letter that they were still alive as of 1015 AD.  Their status in the unified time-line is unknown.

My belief is that Crono and Marle lived quietly in what was left of Guardia.

The Ghost Children

The Ghost Children are reflections of a lost timeline (or whatever).  Presumably, they would no longer exist in the unified time-line.

Magus

Last seen in 12,000 BC.  It was implied in Lucca's letter that he may be time travelling in search of Schala/Kid.  His current whereabouts are unknown.
