I really don't think so, after reading or hearing Shakespearen you can kinda start talking like it off of your head. Yeah scary stuff .

You find that, too? I think it's because it's poetry - the metre gets stuck in your head. I have the same thing when I'm reading epic, whether it's Homer or Lucan or something like that. I do some of my best writing at those times because I can very easily borrow that epic style. I don't know if it's artistic cheating or not, but it works nicely I've found.

bleh. i was never a huge fan of frogs whole victorian speech pattern, and it always struck me as pure woosely. i think he did the same thing for cyan in ff6. and it always bothered me that he was the only one in the middle ages who talked like that. i think it was just to solidifiy the whole middle ages kight persona but it just came of as rodiculous most of the time. thats just me though.

While I agree this is the most likely real reason for the choice, I still like the idea that Frog was doing his best to hide his identity by adopting another form of speech. After all, no one knew he was Glenn.

If I understand you correctly, the thing of it is that Frog misuses the English of Shakespearean times--which is often projected further backwards by a lot of people than it was actually used--as a sort of stereotype for a knight. He misuses the words themselves in terms of grammar and whatnot, and generally sounds like an idiot by misusing it so.

I mean CC glenn dose he talk right for the time period that frog is in. there are differances. beside i know the least of 80% of the people here and even I know that frog talks like that for a stereotype, duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Okies.

Chrono Cross Glenn speaks normally for the time period, yes. He's quite formal in his speech, but that is more out of his respect for everyone around him than anything else.

Kid's accent is almost certainly meant to be Australian. She uses the term sheila to refer to Leena if Leena's with you when you first reach Another's Termina. That's generally regarded as an Australian term. (It's basically the female equivalent of bloke--it's not an insult.) So, whether she actuallydoes speak accurate Australian or not, I beleive an Australian accent isintended.
