Would you buy a console for a new Chrono game?

I'd be first in line.

I'd consider it, but I might wait until I have discretionary income or more games are out as a reason to buy.

I wouldn't buy a console just for a new Chrono game, no.

This question is very difficult for me to answer.  I've always preached to my friends about the value of a buck and the importance to spend things that are practical.  Yet to imagine myself in this scenario, I would definitely purchase a new console if it meant I could experience and new Chrono game.

To tell the truth, I'm not very impressed with where the gaming industry itself is going lately. Am I the only one that doesn't feel nearly as excited about this generation of consoles than the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox generation? Everything just seems to be going downhill lately, with too much focus on how the game "looks", everyone seems to be losing sight of how the game actually PLAYS! Not that all games that come out lately suck, but there sure isn't anything that's making me excited as I was about the last generation of consoles. *sigh*

But at least some companies still make games for ps2 not like the other lastG consoles that suddenly desappeared.
And now people only care about graphical aspect.

I have never, NEVER cared on how a game looked. Many people claim the same thing but I am buy far the most graphical tolerant person ever. I am not perfect buy any means though, my games must(big must) have notably good audio, wither it be the music, voice, effects, or the ambiance.

I agree. I enjoy good graphics, sure, but that's the LEAST important thing in a game to me.

Yeah, people play games mostly for the gameplay aspect (go figure)...the experience...the graphical capabilities are just a way to heighten that experience.

Also, I'm fairly sure there were a few games still coming out on PSX after PS2 came out...FFOrigins did, didn't it?

There were more than "a few", but yeah, you're right. I think Anthology and Chronicles did as well, but I could be wrong.

I think they were a bit before...DQVII might've, but I'm not sure...I just know it was the highest selling PSX title & that it came pretty late in the console's lifespan...*shrugs*

Well, either way the thing was on the shelves for years after PS2's release, and it was selling well to boot.

Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious that FFVII was the highest NA selling, come on now.

Also, I just noticed, but MagilsugaM...you used Ls in your roman numerals...>_> wtf? those ones are supposed to be i's...I'm fairly sure Ls in roman numerals are something absurd like 1000 or something, right? Though I guess lower-cased Ls like you used just plain aren't roman numerals at all.
