Figured I'd put this in General Discussion since it isn't directly pertinent to analysis.

GrayLensman and I are approaching the release of the Chrono Trigger script. We'd like to coincide this with some advertising. In a recent chat, a few members said they might be interested in using forum signatures for advertising.

This is the standard banner you see above. I originally was going to post some attempts, but I then found out once more that I cannot edit images with any skill.

I'm thinking this could serve as a background:

Then we have:

-COming soon-

I suppose if any of you can try something, it would be hugely beneficial. I'm not sure of button size, but I believe it is 88x31?

That Serge "background" would be kinda cool w/that second Chrono Compendium logo tacked onto it somewhere...I think there should be another w/that image of Harle & the moon (the other FMV that isn't actually in the game outside of the opening! haha).

I've personally (like i said in the chat) never been too fond of that book in the regular logo. I mean, isn't there another book that could be used? Isn't there one in Radical Dreamers? I dunno...Maybe I'm just being too picky...It just doesn't look like most of the Chrono stuff...

I'll track down and post the anti-aliased version of the new logo. I have it on a CD somewhere.

Heh...I've been using this sig to "advertise" on various other forums (most notably OCR and OneUp Studios) for months now...

I use this banner to "advertise" too, although it doesn't fit the site colors and the quote is too RD oriented...

Speaking of the CT script, did you guys use the SNES CT script? The PSX script? Did you look at both? Find any differences? Mainly I'm wondering about that damn "Zealians Dye their hair" quote...but any other differences in text would be worth noting too...Although I don't think there is any...heh heh...

Doesn't the PSX CT have a CT SNES rom on it? I remember hearing something about the rom being on there, and the psx emulates the game (but throws movies in). I wish I had a copy to check out,  if there is a rom on there, I'd like to check it out in the ct text editor...

Perhaps we can look into that when we investigate decompressing the Chrono Cross script, which shall be soon. After Dreamers and Trigger, Cross's script shall be the only one left besides PSX Trigger's; perhaps we could code something to compare PSX Trigger with SNES Trigger and remove similar quotes. Lines unique to each game would be left after the process.

A thought on the logo -

I remember that there was complications w/integrating a scene from each game because of the obvious graphical limitations to Radical Dreamers...But after a little thought, a specific scene popped into my mind...The end. Y'know? Where we see each character's back near the tree and there's all the birdies flying reminicent of SoM. Well, if nothing else, that scene simply screems, "PUT ME IN THE LEFT OF A SIG PLZ!!!" Maybe it's just me...
