Alright, move along. This topic is on whether or not Dreamstone is naturally occuring, not janitors.

Agreed. In Zero's first posts, it's possible for some Dreamstone to either been destroyed or spread due to Lavos's impact on the Tyrano Lair. You can't deny it because it's from pure speculation and we all know speculation to be a theory based on imaginative scenario creation.

Is there anything further to add rather than janitors?

I would say Lavos probably shook up the hard rock deposits and made it easier for people to break it into usuable small chunks...
Thats why all of a sudden some sort of abundance poors out, and an entire empire is based upon it.

So would it be safe to use this analogy as speculation:

Diamond:Coal as Rainbow Shell:Dreamstone

What if the Tyrano lair was built on top of a large vein of Dreamstone.  Now when lavos hit, the pressure of the blasts and himself working into the earth could make dreamstone turn into rainbow shell.  Just a theory.  It is a coincidence that u find the rainbow shell only in the ruins of the tyrano lair. no where else.

Yeah.  I completely agree with concept that Tyrano Lair is on a vein of Dreamstone.  The next logical deduction would be that the Rainbow Stone is made from Dreamstone.

Interesting idea. Very interesting indeed.  That would also attribute to the fact that Serge's Rainbow Weapon is stronger than the Mastermune.

By like a couple attack points. But the Mastermune almost always does a critical dealing X2 damage every time. That Prism Swallow does come in handy in the beginning definately!

I also agree with the Dreamstone theory below the Tyrano Lair. But how do we explain the Rainbow Shell appearance in CC? Some people actually have them and in Another World, it's almost a common item. You can also find a lot in Terra Tower too.

Theory: The Earth continually produced Dreamstone. Lavos hit and production waned until there was none in 600 AD. In Chrono Cross it's common because Dinopolis would have abundant amounts.

There's actually no Dreamstone at all in CC apart from Kid's Pendant and the Masamune.

True. There were a lot in Another World and lots in Terra Tower (connection obviously), but how do you explain them popping up in Home World?

Exactly what Dreamstone in Chrono Cross are you talking about?

This would be working off of the theory that the Rainbow shell is some highly compressed form of Dreamstone. Sorry, forgot to mention it.

It is certainly possible that all the rainbow shells found in El Nido originated in Dinopolis.
