First off I want to apologize to all of the Nintendo lovers.  I just recently watched G4's coverage of E3 and I saw the Wii and some of the games for it.  I completely understand what the hype is about.  After watching that program, I come to realize that Nintendo might sneak back in the console wars.  I was blown away by how the controller works.  It is very innovative and if I'm Sony and Microsoft, I would be very cautious about Nintendo.  With that said, I totally agree with Magus Complex.  I will have two next-gen systems and from the looks of it, they might be the Wii and PS3.  I hate XBOX.  By the way, does anyone know what the cost of the Wii will be and when it will be released?

Everyones been saying between $200 - $300 dollars for the Wii.  My personal guess is $250, but the truth is we won't know for sure until Nintendo gives an official announcement.  They do keep saying that the price will be very affordable and competitave though.

I like what mircosoft said about the ps3: people will buy two systems: the 360 and the wii- for the price of the ps3.

Yeah, they are!  It's a really interesting business move on their part, "siding" with Nintendo to try and put a dent in Sony (I use the term siding lightly).  I find the quote really funny, personaly.

Games are all that matter. Then why is PS3 going in the direction of all round media player? Yes, even 360 is doing it less. PS3 uses Blu Ray, which most game developers will not use. Anyway, Peter Moores seems to support the movement of buying a Wii60 instead of a PS3. as the two philosophies of each console complement each other nicely.

I could care less what Sony's Grand Dream for the PS3 is, as long as the games rule.  Blu Ray and 4th dimension  gaming (what does that even mean?)  does not interest me in the slightest. In fact, I see Blu Ray as potentially a bad thing, especially when RPG makers get a hold of it (Square Enix, that comment was directed at you).  Its almost a foregone conclusion that much like when the DVD format became commonplace, plot and storytelling well be further abandoned in favor graphics and voice acting.  I offer FF X, FF X-2 and the trailer for FF XIII as my proof.  Course I remain hopeful that a happy medium and be found between eye candy and depth, a'la Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest 8, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'll probably get a Wii first myself, and give PS3 a year or so to thrive or impale itself on its own ego.  I just realized that I can play all the great Gamecube games I missed out on before, which raised the Wii side of my list considerably.

Well let's see . . . since the PS3 is due to come out in November of this year, and developers are still working on games at this point in time, I believe when Heavenly Sword, MGS4, GT5, FFXIII, and Devil May Cry 4 will be just a few games that dominate. Of course down the road, there will be many many more games that take advantage of the PS3 features as time progresses. What I mean by this is some early PS2 games had some PS1 graphics, and I am sure in the beginning some PS3 games will have some PS2 graphics. As the PS3 progresses, graphics will be enhanced and enhanced until the full potential is met, games will start using it, and then again another next gen console will come out to support even MORE data and graphics and . . . etc

XBOX's silly comment just proves that they are jealous of PS3's future that will own all other systems in graphics and games. So they had to hide behind the Wii since Nintendo got a very promising introduction to its line up and game/console features. The only game that I've heard so much about on the 360 is Halo 3. There isn't any 1st person shooter I have played that is different than this, and how many 1st person shooters are there? Oh wait, I did hear about that Flight Simulator game . . . but it gets boring . . . fast.

I don't want to mock the 360, it's just that they really should've waited to release their console and games. The PS3 and Wii will own, Wii coming in first probably, then by PS3, and lastly by XBOX. I like to play Halo, it's fun, only with friends though. I personally will get a Wii, enjoy some classics, wait until the price drops on the PS3, get FFXIII and some other games . . . and let life take its course as newer games come out that we'll all look forward to viewing.

For the PS3, I'm looking forward to FF13, DVC4, MGS4, and the wealth of inital third party support they will likey have.  That the 360 doesn't.  Things aren't looking too good for the 360.  The only games I'm interested in for the 360 is Halo 3 and Too Human.

YAY WII!

Yeah... I plan on getting the Wii, the console of CT seeing as we have the ingenious Virtual Console.  Plus even w/o  virtual console, I want LoZ Twilight Princess so bad.  I nearly had a stroke when I first saw it...  And of course with Red Steel, Metroid Prime Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (METAKNIGHT AHHHHHHHHHH! and of course Solid Snake, I wish they would add Sonic chars and Chrono chars but nothing is perfect), Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Wii Version (Man that remake is beastly the Gunship scene, wow it took me by suprise), and Fire Emblem. 
Plus price wise they are the best, and their games will not go over $50.  And the innovation.  I mean the Wii = the king of innovation. THE KING!  Motion sensitivity to a whole new level, speaker inside control, WiiConnect24 or whatever, I mean its amazing!  I could care less about gfx, GFX seems to always detract from gameplay...  I mean lets look at Square-Enix... Under SNES possibly the best games of Square was created, but by PS2... well it started to look down.
And PS3 you stole motion sensitivity from the Wii, don't deny it. Tilt is crap btw Sony, true motion sensitivity is where Wii is at.

I say good show! Who cares who copies who. I could say that XBOX and GC copied Sony for having their games be put on disks instead of cartridges. I guess everyone copied every earlier game with first person shooters and RPGs and adventures games since older consoles had them before any of us, and new systems now in days can't think up anything put stick to the commonality of game types. People. Come on now and just pick a console YOU like and play your video games and have a blast. There's no point arguing any further towards which system is best. Each console has its good points.

Sony has free online and a variety of RPGs and beat em' up games.

XBOX has the option of us incorporating our own MP3s into the actual game play in case we get tired up the broing music.

WII will have multiple new features allowing us to explore new boundaries of the newest gaming technology.
