dunno. to be fair, I keeping a coin toos: I doubt the 360 will pll much threat now, but WII actually sounds like its going to get fanbase back. plus, there was screen of the new metriod game in which samus is not wearing her armor, and busted out a lightsaber.

Yeah, that will be the one of the things that will hurt Sony.  But in the end it will end up being Sony on top because of the 3rd party support. I mean the system might only cost 100$ more than the XBOX 360.  We as gamers should have known that as technology gets better, so will rise the cost of games. As long as Microsoft is at the bottom of the barrel, I'm fine.

Mmm...never have I seen such a sexy line-up. Mostly found in the DS, but the other systems are still present. I originally felt like PS3 stole the Wii design, but when I consider it, they are not exactly FOCUSING on the directional system. Wii will still hold the design in motion-based games I am sure. I'd rather use one handed controller than two. I have a feeling 360 will be doing well, their line-up seems good. But that's a problem, all of the damn consoles have nice line-ups. It'll end up being me just pulling them out of a hat in choices.  This next list is of the exciting games I am after.

Phantasy Star Universe
I’ve been waiting for this for a LONG time. I love the intro music and the movie I saw on G4. I seriously am excited to all hell for this. Phantasy Star Online was too much fun and now that they switched to server-based systems, less hackers then previously seen, which makes for a fun time. The new system is appearing to be exciting, especially with a FPS mode for the long-range weapons.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
I’ve only seen small pieces of this but I can safely say I am all over it. Already, four new characters are released. Wario (WarioWare version), Pit (Kid Icarus), MetaKnight (Kirby), and a big surprise found in Solid Snake. And this isn’t the end of the new characters, because there is going to be sixty characters said to be found in this one. So, this one is gonna be kept close to my heart.

Halo 3
Looks good, real-time movie. ‘nuff said.

The major consoles have other games in them that are awesome too, but like I said, DS.

Yoshi’s Island 2
That very name should invoke an ecstasy in the awesome.
Final Fantasy III
Looks better then that crappy Final Fantasy VII, but hey, what doesn’t?

I haven't seen much of a 3rd party support yet. Are you just assuming this? Well, look at this:

SEGA really supports Nintendo.
FF: CC and Dragon Quest Swords on Squeenixs part for the Wii.
Don't forget Ubisoft.

Games I'm looking forward too?  PSU is on my wishlist too, as well as most of the better known Wii and DS games that will be coming out.

Anyway, the Wii has my vote, it's the first next-gen system I'll be getting.  Truth be told, though, I usually go for two systems when I'm fiscally inclined, so PS3 and XBOX360 are competeing for my future leftover cash at the moment.  It's much like a game of limbo in that I ask "how low can you go?" to each system's price.  I may just wait 4 or 5 years and get a PS3 for around $200 - $250 or I could get an XBox360 for around that much, probably sooner... hmm, tough choice, it'll probably come down to games, and you never know, Xbox could surprize me...

All I know is that Square needs to stop focusing so much on the Final Fantasy series as much as it does and make another Chrono game!  I wanted one for the PS2 back in '05, but that didn't happen.  Makes me think the Chrono series is dying...(insert raw bitterness toward Square here)

Its really simple, people.  Make a list of EXCLUSIVE games for the various systems you want to play.  Whichever list is longer, buy that system first.  Then buy the system with the second longest list second.  Screw the third.

Right now in my list, PS3 leads Wii by one game.  Xbox 360 only has one game.  

It is that simple.

First off I want to apologize to all of the Nintendo lovers.  I just recently watched G4's coverage of E3 and I saw the Wii and some of the games for it.  I completely understand what the hype is about.  After watching that program, I come to realize that Nintendo might sneak back in the console wars.  I was blown away by how the controller works.  It is very innovative and if I'm Sony and Microsoft, I would be very cautious about Nintendo.  With that said, I totally agree with Magus Complex.  I will have two next-gen systems and from the looks of it, they might be the Wii and PS3.  I hate XBOX.  By the way, does anyone know what the cost of the Wii will be and when it will be released?

I like what mircosoft said about the ps3: people will buy two systems: the 360 and the wii- for the price of the ps3.

I got news for you: Damn near every game made for the PS3 will be on a Blu Ray disk. I say damn near, because I'm presuming that because there were CD based PS2 games (Mad Maestro, for instance) that it will be possible for smaller games to be on PS3 only DVDs. But even if that is the case, they will represent such a vanishingly small minority, that they may as well not be taken in to account.
