Giving everyone a holodeck would decrease what truely happens in the real world.

(i.e.) A program in which you shoot the people you just really hate in you life or relieving stress and what not - like poor old Lt. Barkley in his little situation.

We already have "holograms" of teachers that teach multiple students information in colleges.

 I'll get us back on topic. XD

 I think the designer was trying to really give her this windswept adventurer look. Kid as a whole is sort of over the top--with both her attire and her attitude. I think she's actually sort of an anti-Schala; rebellious where Schala was submissive. So, where Schala wore more of a conservative robe and was sort of a pacifist, Kid wears almost punkish short and revealing clothes, and is willing to use violence.

 The paint on her face is probably actually something reflecting the tribal style of Cross's characters, though you could also see it as war paint because of her personal vandetta against Lynx. It could also be a sign of mourning (akin to wiping ashes on your cheeks). I like the sorrow thing, because Kid really DID have a lot of pent up sadness...

 I personally didn't like Kid that much, but I don't think she's a whore. Otherwise, she probably would have been trying to get with all the hot guys on your party. XDDD (Serge, Norris, Karsh, or Glenn? Decisions, decisions... XD) But yeath. Not a whore. XD
