Square-Enix Release 16 New Ultimate Hit Games
Square-Enix has released a list of 16 of their most successful games which they plan to re-released in the japanese market, including their most most successful and most popular games.

The games will go on sale on July 20th and is made up of 13 Playstation 1 games, iincluding their Final Fantasy titles. The full list includes;

Indeed, the games are great, but Chrono Cross is coming out! If this works in Japan, it'll be released in NA, and if it works in NA, Square might seriously begin to consider a Chrono sequel! What more, Chrono Trigger is coming out too, making it even more likely that they might consider a new sequel.

Uh, by the fact that SE wants money. If she sees the Chrono games reel in money after ten and five years after the release (respectivly) they'll see the public is intrested in Chrono and a new sequel may be profitable.

Doubt it. Not when they're that cheap. Still, even the game in it's basic form is more than I had hoped for-They have BOTH Chrono games there. I believe that might double our chances, guys!

Yeah, but if all the copies of CC or CT simply fly off the shelves it would encourage a new sequel.

That is, unless you honestly think SE would really stand the temptation.

Legend's point, for all its wishful thinking, is that if enough people purchase these Chrono series re-releases, Squeenix will find reason to produce another Chrono game. Now that is wishful thinking, but he is correct at least to the extent that, if the Chrono re-releases should generate remarkable sales either in an absolute sense or compared with some of the other games on that list, the powers that be shall take notice.

Exactly, Josh. However I'm aware that it may very well fail, espically with Cross not being near as popular as it should, Trigger is still on the list. So a large sale of CT might draw their attention.

Let's keep our heads up. This is one small step in our journey to see a new Chrono title.

Maybe that letter I sent Square-Enix had something to do with it . . . or they are like "yea! let's add the games from that fans letter to the list of re-releases we plan to set out in July!" something along that line. Though that letter most likely had no influence whatsoever.
