Chrono "Period"

The next new installment

Is that the one where Lavos needs heroes to protect it because the Entity is in "that time of the month"?

That's just one of those topics that made me realize once again that games need to made by gamers. Really, bravo.

Is there something Zeality is hiding from us...
And do we really need to know what it is?

I'm beginning to think ZeaLitY planted this period topic with all the curiosity and intention of a scientist putting cheese in a rat maze, and now is having a good laugh at our expense. Look at it: All he writes is a pointless little period mark, and we've already got two pages of "discussion." I can imagine any number of fascinating social commentaries on that...

Damnit.

Well he did say "ask me about it someday".

So . . . what's up ZeaLity?

Nothing, I'm just slightly annoyed at certain things going on in the Chrono world. There really should be fewer fan projects with more members, resulting in more completed works in the long run. Discretion is the better part of valor. This dissatisfaction came to a head the night I made this thread, as I was busy (as I will be today and tomorrow) constructing the retranslation script. It takes at least an hour to do a dialogue offset, and once they're done, I'll have to organize the script according to the CT script GrayLensman and I did. It irked me that I was making more progress on a single fan project myself than some fan projects with teams have made in the last few months.

You and Gray did have this planned out before beginning right? Sort of like an outline before your plan of attack.

The individuals involved in the fan projects here have other committments. Why not ask the fan leaders to post something hard about the project within a given time, and if not, their project gets archived or something as to when they are ready again to start up working.

I'd be walking into a set trap if I were to say "Zeality, I know how you feel towards these situations". Well I don't and it's not my place to question it. Let time be the ultimate judge as to what happens in the near future.

Well, it'd be hard for me to point out exactly what's wrong without naming examples and making people feel bad. It's difficult to bear with projects you 99% feel are going to fail from experience.

Anyhow, the Retranslated WIP Excel spreadsheet is 2 megs. In HTML, it's 7 due to elaborate formatting. There are NPC lines to take care of before a real retranslated script will be issued. And a rom hack is entirely up to someone else; I'm fine with just the script if that's what happens.
