Well, Italy won the game against Australia, by a penalty kick in the 95th minute of a 93 minute game. Lucas Neill tried to get the ball in the penalty area, missed, the Italian tripped over him, which should mean no kick, ref gave it anyway...

LOST.

Gargh, at least we made Round 16.

Hockey is probably a little faster than Soccer. I doubt people can run as fast as skate, and the ball... well, a frozen puck is far more deadly than a soccer ball. I don't think anyone in the crowd has ever died from a soccer ball. But, hey, I'm a little more partial to hockey. It annoys me that Lacross, of all things, is our national sport. Lacross?! It should be changed to hockey. We're the ones with the cold winters. It's a bloody travesty that the cup went to Carolina...

I was never a fan of hockey. To me it's boring, no offense. People will say soccer sucks. Yet again, opinions. I can understand that.

you had something till you started talking about football, then you proved you have zero clue what the hell your talking about. I think I need to show you the man DYING on nation TV during a game.

Regarding both of your posts, no I am terribly sorry . . . unless you've played multiple sports like me, you don't know anything. Our school is ranked nationally among high school Football. We've won states, nationals you name it. The players and coach know what's going on. The only reason people "die" when in-game or practice is when over-exerting themselves, not drinking water and by not taking care of their bodies. Our Football players are trained hard and they go through hard training, but the coaches never push them to the limit. Good training conquers good luck. Practice, break, practice break . . . they never had days of all out practice with no hydration. Try to understand too, the players say how their other sports are "harder" than what they do. If you think about it, if everything works out and you have a good strategy, you'll have no problem in Football. When a plan comes together, you WILL succeed. All around sports players such as myself always complain that Winter and Spring sports always are worse than the Fall sports. For example, Track & Field, Tennis and many others. Truth is, Football is NOT the most physical and mental sport out there. There are too many coaches out there who don't know what the hell they're doing. I don't need to watch your video because a young student/football player in our Section V Division died while training. Don't tell me that I don't know what's going on, because I probably know more than you.

Well, at least be happy that if Italy had lost, several people would have died as stampedes erupted from viewing parties.

Yeah, some people die in training because they have a heart condition that's gone completely undetected until death. I heard about someone who passed at the high school because he had a tiny hole in his heart that was never acknowledged. Sucks, and really makes me want to get some kind of elaborate check up every two months.

It is very scary. I agree. That's why we have to take good care of our bodies, they have to last us the rest of our lives.

uh... my dude snapped his neck. on live TV. for a touchdown. in the nfl. He wasn't training. He didn't overexert himself. He killed himself for a touchdown. The NFL has the most injuries of any sport out there, including soccer. Its EXTREME physical having a 300 lb dude plus 40lbs worth of armor ram you at top speed. These guys get knocked so hard, and get right the hell back up.

you really have ZERO clue what the hell your talking about. you think "oh well, they take breaks, its not that hard. they just over worked and died from carelessness. " That's nowhere even near Leg brakes, neck injuries, Guys flipping over through in the air, back injuries, the sheer amount of physical abuse these guys take.

You seriously don't know shit about football, and you just proved it.

Remember that guy Marc-Vivien Foé died during the FIFA Confederations Cup Semi Finals 2003? That was sad.

Well, I don't recall a hockey player having died*, but a woman in the stands did. From what I recall, the puck went right through the glass, and killed her. A nasty thing, a frozen puck is. But nevertheless, hockey is my favorite sport, for what that's worth (ie. I'm not into sports much at all, but if I had to pick one, it'd be hockey.) There are losts of scoring chances, but not too many goals (usually), the action is fast and there isn't much let-up... plus my city is arguably the greatest hockey city of this generation, so it's difficult not to like hockey, eh? That's why it's a little annoying that the cup goes to some little mid-western club which has only existed for a few years and who doesn't have half the fans we do in the north. I mean, can you imagine the World Cup for soccer going to a place like Mongolia? It's just not right. Though, admittedly, there were more Canadians on Carolina.

*Though they do get badly injured often. Take Pronger shooting the puck at Ryan Smith during the playoffs - that's an accident as both are on the same team - they were taking Smith's teeth off the ice. Funny thing is, Smith's such a resolute player, even though he could barely talk he kept wanting to rush back onto the ice.

Re-read my post from June 30th please. I didn't edit anything, perhaps you missed something I stated.

Anywho, I am sick of playing this back and forth childish bull. Drop it. I don't care who that guy was who snapped his neck for a touchdown, though a name would be nice if you could provide it. The way you stated it . . . I personally think that was a dumb move on his part. Also, please stop telling me how much I don't have a clue about anything. I made one referance to Football in my first post and you took it to a whole new level. You are being very immature and your posts keep getting filled with your colorful metaphors.

you mean this one? the one where you claim to know more cause you've played multiple sports, claimed people die in game when overexerting themselves, claimed coaches have no clue what their doing, then claimed it all under the name of being in said sport.... no... I think I pretty much attacked most of the damn thing. you think student sports league and professional leagues are similiar. maybe in rules, but any idiot with half a brain can tell you you do not want to get into a push match with a 300 lb wieghtlifter.

in highschool foot, the dudes are still growing, less prone to injury, less beefy, and sure as hell less intimdating. They don't have huge dudes like the fridge L.T., or that big ass 400 lb bubba standing guard, holding back 2 full grown men.

Its not stragety that's gonna prevent these dudes from slamming into your quaterback: its several other beefy ass dudes.

Guess what Magus, I've played multiple sports too. I've played soccer. you know what the majority view of soccer was for me: run for a ball, prevent ball from being taken. There was no "hold off people bent on taking you down while keeping possesion of ball." Hell, you can't even go after the damn person in soccer. Soccer is techinical in it requires more control then most sports with sole use of your legs. Football is Intesity. pure and straight. It's Strength. Its being able to out run soccerplayers wearing more shit on them then simple shin guards. Its taking blow after blow, going down over and over, being crushed under weight, and then getting back up. I HIGHLY doubt any socccer player could survive the amount of crap a running back has to take.

Really, watch my video. Say the same thing. I dare you.

Ah, who cares. Italy just beat Germany in the Semi Finals match, 2-0. Well, if you don't know, after the normal 90min game + injury time, if it is still a draw, it goes to extra time. 30 minutes of 2 halves (not Golden Goal). Well, in the last 90 seconds of this part of the game, Italy one by scoring 2 goals. Yep, thats right, 2 goals in the last 90 seconds. Amazing. Lucky that too, because Italy suck at penalties.

Yeah, well maybe a good thing. I was worried that if Germany got into a final match with France and lost there, they'd just drive over France with their tanks again in retaliation.

Like Australia :D

Today, Portugal lost against France, due to a stupid refereeing decision, giving the French a penalty kick. Being Zidane, he would definetely get it in, but the goalie was really close. The referee obviously gave them this because Viera (I think) was on a yellow card, an another one for diving would kick him out of the next match. Stupid FIFA bias. Portugal had many shots at goal in the last 5 minutes, but even so, they still lost.

Why should we do that? I can also say "If France would have lost, they would have bombed us back 100 years like they did during the 30-year-war"(don't know if this is the actual term in english).

Not funny :x

Wasn't meant to be offensive in any way, it was just pissing me off, so sry for that!
