A sequel to Live A Live would be awesome... The battle system was a bit underdeveloped, but I think it really has potential... it's like FFT but with less units. And the story in the 8th and 9th chapters is also a bit underrated. The 7 first chapters are like a big introduction compared to it.

It felt more like 8 and 9 was the story and 1-7 really diddn't need to be there, besides to allow you to level up. Which reminds me, the robot never did level up, did he?

By the way Pyt, you can get other RPG's of that generation on the Mega Drive. Highlights include Shining Force (sorta like Tactics & Fire Emblem), and the oh-so-good Phantasy Star series, one of the first RPG's, and the first in the US. Storywise it is comparable to Final Fantasy, and it plays a lot like it too, but the battle system moreso like Earthbound.

Ah Terranigma, one of the few beautiful RPGs around. Nothing could match it's amazing storyline and captivating zeal.

I agree w/those Genesis/Mega Drive recommendations...

The Shining Force games are great for those who are interested, but perhaps intimidated by SRPGs like FFTactics or even the Fire Emblem games...But it's a lot like the Fire Emblem series gameplay-wise...There were also a few Shining Force games for the Game Gear which were equally good.

The Phantasy Star series is like a combination of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest/Warrior...It's got story, but you're gonna need to be okay w/leveling your ass up. PS2-4 are Genesis/Mega Drive games and they're all pretty good, but I think most people agree that 4 is the best of the series...But, if you want to follow the story from the start (which I don't think is completely necessary), then you need to pull that hardcore RPGamer from deep down inside yourself and play Phantasy Star for Sega's Master System...Stay away from Phantasy Star Online unless you like MMOs or something...It looks pretty...I'll give it that...

And Fire Emblem rocks. I've only played the two GBA ones, and a translated SNES one, but they're mighty fine games.

The SNES Star Ocean is good, from what I've played so far. If you can find a Translated ROM, go for it. If you can't, go to Nerologic.com.

Legend of Dragoon 2 would've been nice, but it seems SONY forgot about it awhile back even though it was suppose to come out. The name still stands as is, but abandoned...

Legend of Dragoon was, for reasons I do not understand, one of those love it or hate it games. I thought it was pretty good myself w/a very decent storyline, good characters, and a unique, albeit simplistic battle system...
