« on: July 09, 2006, 12:34:19 pm »
I just realised what the heck is Magus going to do when he finds Schala? I mean what are they going to do? they hav e nothing left, I mean is he going to set her free and that's it?  Im sorry if this has been brought up before.

They would probably settle somewhere and try to finally live a normal and peaceful life. But considering the CC ending, and for dramatic purpose, I personally think it would be better for Magus to die/have died and be reunited with his sister only in death. I think this would be less "cheesy" this way.

yea, except Schala has pretty much become an immortal goddess, so that wouldn't work out so well.

Interesting point.

If Magus were to find Schala now since the Chrono Cross was used to free her, what would they do...

Perhaps travel back to prevent the Zeal disaster? If that were to happen and the Queen was put out of the picture, Zeal might exist today. It could be a museum or something else.

Then again, continents would be missing and a whole lot of gaps not filled that were filled before.

Dude, it's not just because of her mother, and Zeal can't just dissapear.

Also, I'm with Aura.

Firstly, Schala's power has almost come to a point of omnipotency. She can cross dimensions, think things that no human can and not age.

But yes, as Chrono'99 said, i'd hardly believe that they'd just settle down in the CC world, or let alone find eachother there.
I also saw as the final pages of the journal as another tribute to Magus, because it was smartly written to have no name, so it could very well be him.

Either way, Schala is going to find him in our world, either take him back to CC's world, or simply live with him in our world for a time (Like what Magus did with Kid in RD). That or after there'd be a reincarnation style sort of thing like what happened with the Frozen Flame, and heck, they may be reincarnated to be children of the reincarnation of Queen Zeal, who would be untainted.

Magus deserves to have what he wants. He's devoted his life to having that peaceful little life.

...She was merged with a giant space-time, gene-eating monster. If I was bound to Lavos I'd be able to be omnipotent and cross dimensions, too!

Quinn Malory and Rembrandt Brown can cross dimensions too, but they don't look like gods to me.

The only problem here was that Lavos was half dead, and draining energy from her to sustain himself.

Anyway, Schala doesn't need to be a God. I guess it's just the possibility that she can never die if she chose it (the pendant), and the journal entry provides an aspect into her power, and also her belief (on reincarnation) and then theres also that part of Zurvan, where she says all things will return to the Sea of Zurvan, so she may die one day, when she's truely happy, or be reincarnated :D

I LOVE SCHALA!

She's not allowed to die happily and be reincarnated until she gives Magus the peace he's looking for.

My personal theory is that Schala currently represents the gnostic Sophia of Chronoverse. She represents pure, unbridled, godly wisdom (The meaning of life and shizzle) and due to that, is aware that the universe is an illusion created by the souls of humanity and able to manipulate it as such, spending eternity to help free souls from the tainted physical universe and bring them up to her level of existence so they can return to The Sea of Zurvan, or the Pleroma, the spiritual universe. (The higher dimension Schala mentioned that will be caused by the entity that inseminates the planet properly, which I think Schala has pretty much done due to the events of CC.)

Magus could be her male counterpart, since Gnostic Aeons come in pairs. But then of course, unlike the gnostic Sophia, Schala would be the redeemer and Magus the one who fell from grace. Because Magus is certainly not Jesus. (oh god...)

They could just as easily have jumped into a Pocket Dimension, couldn't they? I'm sure that there are many Pocket Dimensions that exist, and in Zeality's file on the Chronology of the Chrono Series, Magus already has the ability to (indirectly) create a Pocket Dimension. Couldn't Magus and Schala simply create/find a Pocket Dimension which is a mirror of Zeal (before the King died, presumably) and live there?

Don't forget that when Schala finds Magus, she'll return to Serge & get married. What you're saying contradicted Schala's journal.

I think that when Schala finds Magus they'll have a long chat & after that he'll go on a long journey probably planning to restore the Zeal Kingdom.

Maybe they took Serge with them. Also, you have to look at the fact that we don't know 100% for sure if that is Serge in the photo in Schala's journal.
