I love Neon Genesis Evangelion. The story, the animation. Asuka.
Amen on all three. ESPICALLY ASUKA. She really got screwed over at the end, though. It's like she died three times.
Havn't watched the anime yet, read the manga. Is the anime good?Because I can buy the whole series at my local Best Buy.
Anime=/= Manga. Less Angels, some events are overlooked, and it seems it's more ReixShinji oriented, while the Anime tends towards ShinjixAsuka.
The anime is incredible. I can't see how the psychological scenes can be any more creepy. The Manga lacks that, I think, and the psychological horror the Anime dumps on you is so much less powerful in the Manga. The plot is amazing, the battles are incredible and the characters, well, you have Rei and you have Asuka. You've got two stunning ladies, each mentally disturbed in some way. Shinji seems to take advantage of that in the movie, in what I call 'The Scene Who Must not be Named'.
It's a kickass mecha anime! The story is very deep & the fight scences are a sight to behold. The station that I've been watching has lots of scene that had been cut off though. That sucks....
Watch it on YouTube. They've got the Director's Cut episodes, so you get to see all the secret scenes and Episode 24's infamous plot-hole.
