I'm making the assumption that in posting this you agree with at least part of it.
Let's see, which of these have I given up as a religious person?
-Not pork.
-Not my foreskin(that was a hygienic matter, not a religious one)
-I did give up time and energy; making others' lives better around the country. Horrible, I know.
-Not 10% of my income(our pastor knows we can't afford it, but many of the more well-off members give up that much)
-Not valuable scientific and medical advancements. Perhaps if we lived in Renaissance Europe you might have something resembling a point, but it's completely ridiculous to say that's the state of affairs today.
-Not life-saving blood-transfusions. That's mostly the Christian Scientists and the Jehovah's Witnesses. Not the most predominant branches of Christianity.
-Not basic rights, freedoms and dignity.
Your post uses a quote from a Christian, and a picture of a Christian church, then goes on to list practices found in OTHER religions, namely Judaism and Islam. It's a guilt-by-association tactic, and it doesn't work.
