I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, one of the most disastrous diseases of the last century sees the biggest breakthrough for finding a cure. On the other hand, this may very well lead to even less protective measures that (if people already used) would have already seen the spread of aids dwindle.
It's sad to read in that article that more people got infected by HIV than died from it in 2007. No, beyond sad... It's actually frightening.
I hear that, I hear that. Still, it's good for those infected who haven't been asking for it, youknowhaImean? Advances in medicine are a good thing I would say. Still, I did think of a world where the cares and precautions are thrown out the window...then I remembered that I had seen it. Yup, the Wire, season 3. Scary thing is, yeah this is a tv show (and a damn good one at that) /fanmanism) but there are places that are just like this. The thought of it getting worse or spreading is a potentially frightening one. And yeah, I also love the show. guess I wasn't done with the fanmanism after all!
