That was incredible.  If I hadn't come from where I was, after contacting who I did, it might of been as awesome.  Gotta love when life tosses you those gems.

I love the Post Secret project, people mail in their secrets anonymously on a postcard. The  secrets are amusing, touching, shocking, depressing... it's an incredible collection of human stories.

I love PostSecret too.  I've visited the website every Sunday since 2005.  I've had three cards featured on the site, and one featured in one of the books.

A friend just sent me this. The most unique google streetview photos, fascinating collection of unintentionally captured moments, I love it.

http://9-eyes.com/

And the equally fascinating essay of the collector as a companion

http://www.artfagcity.com/2009/08/12/img-mgmt-the-nine-eyes-of-google-street-view/

Quote
Initially, I was attracted to the noisy amateur aesthetic of the raw images. Street Views evoked an urgency I felt was present in earlier street photography. With its supposedly neutral gaze, the Street View photography had a spontaneous quality unspoiled by the sensitivities or agendas of a human photographer. It was tempting to see the images as a neutral and privileged representation of reality—as though the Street Views, wrenched from any social context other than geospatial contiguity, were able to perform true docu-photography, capturing fragments of reality stripped of all cultural intentions.
(...)
Although Google’s photography is obtained through an automated and programmed camera, the viewer interprets the images. This method of photographing, artless and indifferent, does not remove our tendency to see intention and purpose in images.

Awesome stuff Licawolf, thanks for sharing that. I always wondered how the Google street views were captured; so it was an alien-like instrument with eyes all over its head. I never would have guessed!

Some of those pictures are hilarious.  :D And some are desolate and sad.  :(
