Everybody loves a plot twist...>_>

Oh, and you must have it mistaken, the Junction System isn't a broken Materia System, the Materia System is a broken Esper System.

So doesn't that make the Junction System a broken Phantom Beast system?

That Odin scene was interesting. I did want to learn more about the Centra Ruins (they're so unnerving, especially with that "My Blue Heaven" sign...) and Gilgamesh's origin. I just have a nagging desire to hear backstory about mysterious things in games.

As for the plot twist, it sort of made me wonderw hen it happened, but afterwards it gave a sense of kinship to the characters. Looking back, that event seems integral in Squall's opening up and depending on his friends.

MAN WITH THE MACHINE GUN just can't be beaten.

I don't think the Junction System was anything really like the Esper System, no...I thought it had enough changes to make it it's own unique thingy...System...

I loved the ending for the Laguna scene...Really makes me want to see some kind of FFVIII-2 prequal that focuses more on him explicitly...

Except that might entail Laguna, Kiros, and Ward running around with miniskirts and fighting enemies through magical girl-style outfit-change sequences, all while trying to fend off the advances of the local pilot-slash-incestuous-cousin.

... No thanks.

It might also be a sort of third person shooter hybrid like FF7:DC, or maybe a sort of Metal Gear Solid game (not sure if Square is capable of something like that)...

Or better yet, a hack & slash game like Dynasty Warriors.  Hordes of blood thirsty soldiers against you & your sidekick.

Actually, Gilgamesh from FFVIII is the same one from FFV. I think he fell into a dimensional distortion towards the end of FFV, and thus ended up in FFVIII's world. Funny, eh?

And yeah, Man with the Machine Gun is very catchy and very awesome.  :D

Yeah, FFV is worth playing, for its awesome job system, but also for Gilgamesh and the legendary battle on the Big Bridge scene. Gilgamesh reappears in FFXII too with other famous FF/DQ swords.

Gilgamesh's battle theme rocks, too.  :D

But, anyway, back to topic.

I've been playing FFVIII again, too, since there's a bit of hype around it here lately... It's fun playing it again. I was at the Shumi Village, and took part in the side-quest there. I got nothing special from doing it, though. >_>,

Yeah you do! You get something, but I can't remember. Maybe it's the Phoenix Badge or something.

Oh, c'mon, none of the FF characters actually cross worlds or exist in the same world as in other FFs...Except FFTactics...Tactics is the exception...But it's a spin-off damn it!

Anyways...Speaking of Ol' Gilgy-head...Maybe you know, but they're gonna make him one of the additional Espers/Phantom Beasts for FFVI Advance (Leviathan is the other one that's been confirmed). Neat!
