Song question

Does anyone know what seems to be the main instrument of the song "Time Scar" from Cross?  I personally think it sounds like a flute.  However, I am not the most knowledgeble person for music.  So anyone that knows, it would be greatly appreiciated.

Actually, its not a Flute, but an Instrument derived from the flute, I forget the name, but It begins with an "S".

hmm.  Never heard of a slute.  Is this a Japanese cultural instrument?

It's a flute with a S instead of a F. In the PLAY! Concert stuff, a flute was used as far as I remember.

He's joking. I honestly thing it's a flute, because the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakuhachi (which I've heard in Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer) sounds a little deep for Scars of Time. Of course, there are three other "s" flute variants:
