Rate the RPG GameFAQs RPG Boards

They're currently set up by a guy by the SN of Ken McGriff and he does them both on the Square-Enix board (for the SE games, obviously) and the Everything Else RPG board over at GameFAQs...

Basically, everyone that's played the game being rated rates the games 0-10, gives some explaination, and I think you have to have played the game more than a little bit to vote (honor system)...Well, here's the list so far...Currently, they just finished Chrono Trigger, Legend of Dragoon and they're currently on Suikoden IV...I'll note the Chrono series and also bold some biggies (my opinion, of course)...

Yes I expected Lufia, Chrono, Mana, Final Fantasy (of course), Dragon Quest, Xeno, and even Legaia to be high up there.

I'd put Legaia against FF7 anyday and it would win. Games like that I wish got more attention.

The first Legaia was an amazing game, over 70+ hours of game play and side quests on only 1 disk. The game is newer than FF7 with its first and very own unique fighting system. The FMV's were also very amazing and state of the art.

The second Legaia for PS2 wasn't as good as the first. However, it's an excellent RPG with over 500+ items you can use on your journey. A definitive RPG classic that I wish got another sequel since it really had nothing to do with the first Legaia. Overall gameplay is equal to, if not shorter or longer to the first game.

I encourage everyone to check it out for it's among those life changing games similar to the FF series. Like I said, an underappreciated game...

I guess it just seemed, what? Easy? It's been a while...I know there were one or two optional bosses that were pretty neat though...I also missed one of the final summony things, I recall...I wasn't uber impressed by the 'original battle system' either...I agree that it's a good change from a lot of the RPG standards out there, but it doesn't excel in any one category. I don't even remember the story outside of some sort of evil...and mist fucking w/the trees of life or the earth or something...Protecting trees, where have I played that RPG?

I decided what I consider to be my top 5 favourite RPGs:

1. Chrono Trigger
2. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (I grew up on this game)
3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
4. Final Fantasy IX
5. Final Fantasy VI

Perhaps Chrono Cross will be included once I actually take time to finish it.
