What Tech IS THAT!? (Crono)

Hello everyone, I recently started a fan based website.

Obviously I got sucked into the game this weekend... Completed everything but the Black Omen and NOW I AM STUMPED...

Watch this video, I want to know what tech this is because my Crono DOESN'T HAVE IT YET!!!

I remember having this ability playing the SNES version, it's not a single tech is it? O_O It looks like an Omnislash minus the last part (Cherry Blossum for you FF7/FFT tech heads).  I'm sitting in the middle of Black Omen, please someone tell me wtf that is before I decided to start over!

That move is called Confuse and it is indeed a single tech. It's cheaper, and depending on stats/equipment, can do more damage than Luminaire. It only hits one enemy, however, so it isn't always the better solution. On my last run through on Trigger, I found it did more damage to the Lavos Core than Luminaire, so I went with Confuse instead. YMMV.

Darn you, beat me to it. Yeah, it doesn't hit multiple enemies normally, but combine it with a close-quarter battle and Ice/Fire Sword 2 for a rip-roarin' good time.

Lol, now that I think of it.... I never used such techs much.... Id just stick someone with the gold rod and use their top spell (usualy chrono/lumanarie Lucca/Flare or somethimes Magus/DarkMatter, but usualy chro or luc)

I just decided to do a little time trickery with the Black Omen, I defeated Queen Zeal in 1000AD and went back in time to pwn her in 600AD.  Got a lot of experience doing so. Now I can do it again in 12000BC, bbuuuuttt I think I'll use the Black Omen to max out my characters and gain all the abilities before I do. (oh great... new game+ for the endings.) T_T

yea tell me about it, i played ct about 15 times in the last 5 months, the first time i played it, it took me 2 and a half months, and i was sitting there for like 10 hours trying to figure out what the hell to do, and yes, thats how much free time i have.....what? i don't got a problem! lol. actually to tell you the truth, here's how long i was on every day in summer, i got up at 12, played until 12, without even getting up once.
