Chrono/Marle during Chrono Cross possible escapes? Feedback please

Im new to this board and was thinking about what could have happened to them. I believe they could have gone back in time Via Epoch(dont remember if tis destroyed) or the time machine Lucca created. They could have gone back in time to do many things about Porre. For the sake of creating a new game they could go back in the past to gather up the other members of the old party to venture back before Porre attacked Guardia and beat Porre and restore peace. Or they could have gone back in time before Porre became a super power and changed things. Who knows. I like to think that Chrono and Marle are alive. What are your thoughts? Is it possible they could have gone back in the past to change things?

Meh, I'm a believer that the Balloon ending is the true ending so no, I don't believe they traveled back in time via the Epoch...After Lavos is destroyed they should know better than to go around messing with time willy nilly...I DO think that they're alive though...I mean, what better time to attack Guardia than when their two power-houses are away, eh?

I think that Chrono and Marle went into the past to try and stop the attack, but they havn't come back then because I think they went to get people to help them battle.I dont think chrono is dumb enough to think that he can take an army alone, so I think he thought get an army to fight an army.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? What's a measly army compared to Lavos? I mean, it's not like Gardia didn't have an army itself (not to mention the castle that had to be seiged and the highground advantage)...But I guess Porre could have somehow gotten better weapons technology?

I have to agree with V... The Porre Army is only a snack compare to Lavos as the main course.  But it's sad to say that quantity overwhelms quality.

If they have the Epoch then they could stop the invasion before it even begins as if nothing happens.

You know...the invasion was due to something occuring outside the normal flow of time, as stated by Masato Kato. This whole time we've been wondering where Marle and Crono end up and why they allow the invasion...but what if something they specifically did CAUSED the change that resulted in the invasion in the first place? Honestly I have no idea how or why they would have, and as such am merely tossing it out as a thought.

oh thats a good thought.  Maybe them interfering with time did somehow cause the porre military to take over.  Honestly I think that some of the fans should help write the next Chrono game or at least help with the ideas.  You guys have some awsome thoughts.

Also the ghosts in the Dead sea are a Future that could have been but it was destroyed along with that time line
