The Pen of Time (Poetry and Prose)

[Requiem]

Of Magical Zeal
"The Black Wind Howls." the child said.
"It knows you are here and will have your head,
"I would take care if I were thee,
"The Black Wind is cold, and dead you will be."

The boy then played with the little cat
Caring not for where the stranger was at.
He did not know then where he would be
Flung so soon into 600 AD.

Ere the week was done, Zeal would fall.
Down go the people, one and all.
Gone is the kingdom, gone is its queen.
Black Omen may rise and in all time be seen.

The Demon Machine
A monster lurks at its heart.
Its only a fragment, but still is a part.
Destroy it with the crimson knife
Before its terror destroys all life.
The Queen has been twisted, the prince lost in time.
The demon still lives.
Bring forth knife and forge the Blade of Dreams!
"You cannot serve both God and the Mammon."


Red Robot
Its name is Gato.
It has metal joints.
If you beat it, you'll win silver points.

I hate it so much.
Its counterattack stinks.
If it sings again, I'll cast Luminare.


End of All
The future refused to change.
They tried so hard, but it was all for naught.
Time they traversed and monsters slain.
But the future refused to change.
I laugh at their futile attempts.
They were insects trying to move mountains.
The future refused to change.
The pendent and the stones gave no hope.
Their power died long ago.
And the future refused to change.

Very nice and entertaining read. I really liked all of them except the Red Robot. Its not written badly or anything, but I don't really like that style of poetry.

What type of poetry is each? I can tell they all have some sort of pattern, but I have no clue what each type is. Care to enlighten me?

[Requiem]

There is no real pattern.  The only pattern I used when I did was a sort of AABB CCDD type rhyming.
The rest of the time, its a sort of rhythm pattern.

And yes, I know that the Black Wind is not Lavos, but its a cool idea that it embodies its power.
