Most likely, I don't think they added it just for the US version.

*grins*  Yes, Genowing.  "New Game +" was indeed in th' Japanese version!  Otherwise, how'd you get all those shiny extra endings, like th' "Dream Team" endin'?  X3

Aye. The Dream Project ending especially makes it quite clear that there was, in fact, a new game plus feature in the Japanese version, since most of those team members can't speak a word of English and would not have put such a thing together just for North America, ESPECIALLY back in the SNES era. It's difficult to get Square to release such neat stuff even today, hence the still on-going hope that KH II: Final Mix+ will be released here.

The others have answered already, but let me add a little bit of my own: The Japanese version has an extra dungeon. I cry myself asleep each night due to that. No, really.

There's no extra dungeon in the Japanese version. I have no idea what he's talking about or where he heard about it. The only addition the Japanese version has is a Toriyama artwork of Crono and Marle that shows after the ending screen.

Well, I have heard that there was an extra dungeon so I'm sorry if that's wrong.

It may be the PSX version, I don't know.

The only "Extra Dungeon" I've heard of is some random speakings about the pre-release. I'm pretty sure that's where that started, and you can only get there by using GG codes anyway. >.<
