My brother is playing through Chrono Cross, and I watched him play a bit of it today.  He's loving it as much as D and I do.

And the music is so, so beautiful.

Just annihilated the Comedy Store.  Three auditions today.  Not even the still (begrudgingly) violent mix of Miss2.0 showing amazing support and amazing ability to ignore our "stuff" could fuck this day up.

Also, the first track from the mixtape Z posted carried me through the Hollywood traffic. And after seeing Skyrim news I had to reinstall Oblivion, and stuff it with CC music, because that OST is the tits.

When it comes to Sonic, I am biased. It was the first game I ever played, and I've been a fan ever since. And now, it appears Sega is actually doing things right with Sonic Generations! If you own a PS3, download the demo and try it out.

Also, while not a playable game, this fan-made Sonic video is pure eye candy.

I grew interests in H.P. Lovecraft's works recently, while I was translating game scripts of Alone in the Dark series.

It seems I need to put down my gaming hobby and read.

I don't know if anyone here is interested in fan-edited films, but I've been working on an X Men edit that combines X Men Origins with X1 while removing all the stupid and unnecessary stuff from Origins and the things that contradict X Men First Class from both films. It's called "Children of the Atom" and is intended to be a sequel to First Class. There's a lot more to it but in case you're not interested that's about as short a description as I can muster.

Songwriting in my band, voice acting, school, making a game, and now fan edits? Yes, I'm a busy man. But that's not my point.

I was having trouble inserting music in some parts where score got in the way, with no good way to turn it down without losing voiceover, and Audacity kept freezing while importing video files. BUT...

I updated audacity and NOW it works like a charm, even split the surround sound so I could extract the voiceover without music! Or extract the score without the voice. It's extremely flexible, but it's STILL the easiest sound editor I've ever used! And I've paid for a lot of sound editing software.

I love open source.

Great stuff Mr. Bekkler, I hope you're able to upload some of the result to Youtube! I think Shee was doing something of the sort too, at least on the audio end.

Playing Ocarina of Time 3DS, and I'm loving it. Truth is OoT have held the title of my favorite videogame for a long long time, but playing the 3DS version is like being married for years and suddenly having a romantic date again, remembering why you fell in love in the first place xD

"Proprietary" Pinnacle Studio 14. It's not even that good (it forces a 16:9 aspect ratio but the source material is wider than that), but at least I can use it easily and the open source video converter Super will change the aspect ratio back to where it should be when I make the final edit (already tested with an early cut, works like a charm).

If you're fine with it, well and good. If you're still seeking good OpenSource equivalent, then I would suggest either Lightworks (Beta, Windows) or Blender VSE (Cross-platform). Yup, Blender's got a full-fledged video editor in-built!

If you'd like I can try making a tutorial on it sometime while I animate our project. Needed to make one for a friend too anywhos. And if you're going the Lightworks way, you'd be surprised how many Hollywood movies were made with it.

Oooh, Lightworks sounds like it has potential! Can it handle 5.1 surround? Cause  Pinnacle can only do stereo sound.
