Oooh, Lightworks sounds like it has potential! Can it handle 5.1 surround? Cause  Pinnacle can only do stereo sound.
Never tried that setting, but it most likely does.  :D It's even got Stereo Picture module (for making 3D movies).

I made the mistake of listening to a new candyrat guy before snoozing.  It's been a couple hours just relaxing to Jimmy Wahlsteen, the current culprit.  Can't say much for the dude's attire but his music is superb.  I love all of these candyrat folks' mastery of their instrument.

I've been re-reading the LotR trilogy, which has (of course) resulted in some pretty epic dreams.  Last night I dreamt that I wanted to move to Minas Morgul, but the Witch-king refused to let me stay in the city, so I had to sleep in the garage.  With this humongous bus.  The Nazgūl apparently didn't want to ride on fell beasts anymore, and had decided that buses were a better means of transportation into Gondor.

I love my dreams.

I'm totally picturing the Nazgul on an epic black touring bus right now, a la some wild black metal band from Norway. :D

No charity in Mordor, huh? Sheesh, things are getting bad there.

Amusingly enough, a bus would've been way more efficient, assuming the rest of Middle-Earth wasn't as up to date with the technology as well...

That would be fantastic.  Alas, the bus looked like a beat-up inner city bus and half the seats were broken.

Technically, Minas Morgul isn't in Mordor.  It's right next to the border.  Yeah, that was my first thought when I read your comment.  =(  I'm a hopeless nerd.

XD

I wish I could read through Tolkein's works, but unfortunately my reading skills cannot fathom those.

And each time I see that book based on Nibelungenlied, I flinch.  :(

I may not know a lot of things in this world, but what I truly know is that these guys need our help, just as much as they want to help us. They dream big, doing their best to make something better than what Apple has, and basically doing the impossible; not on backs of money hungry entrepreneurs, but on the shoulders of proud artists and developers who wish to work together to bring about a revolution.

As much as I'm glad that Lightworks has become opensource, I also hope as much for Novacut's success. If Hollywood's being an ass, no problem: WE'LL make a better flick!

Nobody here should be ashamed. I'm related to Tolkien- albeit, rather indirectly- and I don't have interest even in the movies, let alone the books.

Also!

I'm thinking about going as a drag queen for Halloween. The very idea of it tickles me.

I met a GORGEOUS girl I like who likes me and I haven't really had a girlfriend in about a year, so I'm loving this feeling for now.

Bekk, that's fucking awesome!  Hope it turns out well.  All the best.

Done moving.  Rested.  I feel loads better about generally everything.  BACK AT IT  Two Wendy's VO auditions to record this weekend.  Could use the $$$ (PAY ME VEGAS!!!) but honestly I'd settle for a free spicy chicken  8)

My hands are sore from drumming so hard yesterday.  Felt good.  Still have a shit ton of unpacking to do, but dammit at least I don't have make any more hauling trips with auditions smack dab in the middle of the day.

8/7.  Unless you're exhausted and due for a shitty week.  Then it's more like 4/7.  Happens.

ONWARD!!!
