Why are my characters so weak

Doing a new game without the Plus and my stars are at 16/24 o.O never had this happen first time around every boss is a damn near battle for my wits having to run away and try diff strategys it's sad.

Anyone know a way to fix it

Thats kinda the reason I stopped playing(that and constant file coruptions). You really have no way of getting stronger besides getting a stat point after every battle.

Just hope you luck out in a battle. It's how I beat Miguel.

Miguel isn't that hard. Just knock out as much HP as possible and then use Seal All. His normal attacks aren't that strong and you can beat him up without having to worry about Holy Drgn Sword, Holy Light, etc.

That doesn't work. I tried it in the Miguel battle once but all it did was seal my elements and leave him free to kill me. Needless to say, I didn't last much longer that time around.

Or rather, I wouldn't have had I not been playing on an emulator. Thanks to that I just loaded back up from before I made that move and continued through the battle. I try to avoid using savestates to cheat my way through battles normally, but sometimes when it comes to a really risky move like that you just gotta take the safe route and save beforehand.

Also on the subject of Miguel, SealAll doesn't stop enemy tech skills. So even if it did work (or AntiWhite), he'd still unleash HolyDragSwd on you. Given, if he hasn't been defeated by the time he resumes his normal pattern (after HolyLight/MeteorShower at low HP), something is likely wrong.

On topic though, I'd like to add the standard "upgrade your equipment" and "allocate a lot of HealAll elements" strategies to the list. If you are still having trouble, abuse MagNegate and PhysNegate when you get the chance. Obviously, MagNegate is far more useful, so it's a good idea to load up on them...if you plan to keep a white innate character around.

4 tips I like to give you....

1.) Don't use any character with black innate with the exception to Lynx.

2.) Use Diminish... It reduces elemental damage to both party but it doesn't reduce healing magic effect.  As a side note, the effect last until the battle ends.

3.) Kill all new monsters that you encounter at least twice to gain more stats

4.) Lastly, use turn white magic to reduce the damage.

usually the reason the characrers in the game turn our to be weak is because they have somone weak and not skilled controlling them hahahahahha..... muhahahahahahaha.
