Inside Agent
« on: April 04, 2007, 10:46:42 pm »
Okay, now that I've come to like this place a bit more, I can let you guys in on something
cool about my family. First of all, we're all gamers and anime fans. Second....heh heh - my dad
is a genuine Nintendo employee. It is because of him that I got to enjoy the splendour of Zelda
fan adoration (over at htloz.net) for a few days prior to E3, because he told me the title of the
new game (Twilight Princess) before it was officially announced. How I love him more for it.

So, in essence, we have an inside agent! Being a big fan of CT like me, I'm sure he'd love to
keep an eye/ear out for any information regarding a possible new game in the series.

(Note: He says he'll try, but since he works in the tech department, not sure if anything of
use to us will ever come his way - still, keep hoping he'll get lucky)

An inside agent at Nintendo, eh? It'd be a bit more useful if he worked at Square-Enix, but still, Nintendo is good, since any Chrono Trigger rerelease would be published through them...so yes, he will be useful. Be sure to thank him for us!

Like Chronicles? I grant, the landscape has changed, making the Virtual Console the most liable home of any Chrono Trigger rerelease. I'm just saying be aware that Square-Enix is not above hopping between hardware manufacturers.

Okay, a point you have there. Any release now would be on the DS or the Virtual Console though, so Nintendo is the best choice. That said, they could always jump to Sony, or even Microsoft! And yet, the inside agent is still useful.

Inside agent? Hm, CC has moved far from its gamer nerd roots and has finally become a secret crime organization.

Awesome. I'm a bit doubtful about how much he'll be able to help regarding CT, but it's nice to know that The Compendium has an agent inside the company :lee:

Don't underestimate Nintendo! The only reason the FFIII remake was completed is because Nintendo asked Square Enix to complete it for the DS (the FFIII remake project had been dragging for 16 years for different consoles and abandoned several times). Tanaka stated FFIII DS would never exist had Nintendo not sollicitated Square Enix. I wonder if this could apply to CT...

What exactly does your father do as an "employee" of Nintendo? I mean, my brother used to bug test over at the old (haven't they moved it?) Nintendo offices in Redmond (it was like, less than a block from where he & my dad lived)...I just want to know what kind of "inside info" we could be expecting...har har...

I think a few people here have relations or involvement in the industry. That's not too surprising, since no matter how different this site is, it's still a gaming site.

That's really cool for you though. Just be careful about releasing too much personal information. Even this site gets some interesting attention from time to time...

Still in Redmond. It was nice when I was over there, because I could walk to work. When did your brother test there? I might have worked with him.

Back when the N64 was out...He got to test OoT and the oldschool Blitz game (which he says he was better at than the creators...and I don't doubt it, really).

That is cool man. Maybe perhaps you can drop the hint of having Nintendo solicit Square in Using Crono (preferably Magus) in SSB. I know he jkust works in tech, but should it come up in conversation =D

Ahh, long before my time. That's cool though.

Hey Big_Mac, you better believe it that my dad makes comments like that.

He's been upset ever since the details for SSBB was released, because he
really wishes that you could play as Magus (loves how cool scythes are).

My dad'll do whatever it takes to get info along to us...as much as he can.
