The mastermune is the second best swallow. So i can't tell but it seem like your trying to be an ass but don't try unless you've looked it up first.

The Mastermune has a far higher critical hit rate, yet I don't know the numbers. That and because you can obtain it earlier is the reason why I always prefer Mastermune over Spectral Swallow.

The high critical hit rate overpowers to the two point difference. It's hard to say rainbow is better when your other sword is constantly doing x2 its normal damage ratio.

Actually, all Serge did is shake some Elements to make some sounds and play the Song of Life melody.

You guys seem to forget that Crono has a Rainbow sword that also has a high critical rate.  It seems that the battle isn't fair since both Crono & Serge has a different magic system if you base it on the game in which favors Serge...

Ya know INSTEAD of basing it off a CC battle why not try and think of a battle with CHRONO TRIGGER STANDARDS like magus said we should see serge try and fight with none of those lame "elements" and only on his magic and tech's he'd be dead then.

Meanwhile, Elemental grid allows Serge to bypass any plate Crono has on.

Alright, alright, look. Obviously being torn between Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross battle systems won't settle this issue. I thusly propose we take a completely neutral battle system and place them in it.

For instance...let's take Wizardry 8. It's quite different, battle system wise...extremely so. I'm not even sure how I'd set them up, actually, except for Crono being a Samurai and Serge a Lord.
