I quit
« on: April 30, 2007, 04:48:21 pm »
Soon, I'll quit soon. I can't stand imagining that Crisis is on its way to becoming the unique "unofficially official" fourth Chrono game. I'm going to finish coding Mt Woe and then I'll go back to work on Crimson Echoes directly, before the end of Prophet's Guile's development. After that point, Prophet's Guile will or will not get finished; in any case, it won't get finished by me. Crimson Echoes has been time-crashed for too long. I'm certainly not blaming anything or anyone for the slump in both projects, but something simply has to be done for CE. If only one project out of the two has to be completed, it might as well be CE.

As for corruption issues: make a copy of the ROM in Windows everytime that you save TF. Everytime. This is the safest solution.

All right. I still have the 75% ROM transfer here with all the notes on TF Wiki. I guess I should do something about that...it's finals week.

If we can beat corruption, we'll be back. I mean...once that's done, we can horde as many resources as we want. CE is the official Compendium project.

Think about it.  Of course Crisis is going to be better then most of the hacks, but think about it.  You'll have one of the best Chrono Trigger HACK using Temporal Flux.  Crisis will be best in RMXP, CE, PG, and TI will be best in Temporal Flux.  And yes, CE should get finished.  Look at how much work was put into it.  I'd rather not have all of the work that everyone put into, just abanonded.

It will not get finished with just Chrono'99 working on it. There is no one left to hack sprite assembly, nor any real mappers.

Well Shane and I are both trying to figure out how to work Sprite Assembly.  It's a little complicated as there's nothing much about it except for a few pics and some tiny explanations.  I could probably figure it out but I really don't want to work on it yet.

Was my explanation of sprite assembly not clear enough? Or did you forget about my original thread about it?

I understand most of your explanation.  I just kinda lose concentration and my mind goes off somewhere else when reading stuff...So just ignore me there <_<

Dude, I just got through a shit load of tests and I'M STILL NOT DONE! :x :x :x

Plus, most of my free time is wasted on this school play I'm in.

Give me some info on maps that need to be created and I'll work on it when I can.

This goes for TI, CE and PG.

Well.  All of us have like 1-2 months of school left.  So we could probably finish CE during that time.  Or get more done at least.

Yeah, don't worry too much about that. I know schoolwork can be a burden on time (although personally I manage not to study much and yet still get good grades :> ). I'm just eager to revive CE as soon as possible, seeing all these updates and stuff from Crisis...

I know Crimson Echoes is still moving on.  How's that going?  And is Chrono'99 still around?

Ooooh I see. I didn't think RD was officially considered part of that.

Well, RD took place in another dimension of sorts.  So technically, it isn't 100% Chrono canon (as it doesn't take place in the world of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross).  However, it IS still a Chrono game and helped pave the way for Chrono Cross.  If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend it.
