Daisuke Ishiwatari, the creator and concept artist of the Guilty Gear series also likes to give his characters lots of needless belts. Hell, in GG:XX Slash, there is a legless skeleton with a belt around it's hips. Seriously, it has no legs! What possible use could it have for a belt?

He's a decent character artist, to be sure. I love his work on Kairi and Sora, for instance. But for the love of whatever diety you believe in, Nomura, change it up a little!

That's his stuff, huh? Nice work indeed. His Zidane is incredibly awesome looking, though he has an extra belt there. At least he's learning not to make everything look ridiculously over belted and zippered.

No, there's no extra belt, it's exactly the same design as Amano's drawing, except sharper and less pale.

Shukou Murase's design is the one who's actually missing a belt.

Once again proving I need to pay more attention to these things.

I still think the extra belt is an unncessary accessory, even if it is in the original concept art. Still, good going for Nomura, actually sticking to the concept art of Amano this time instead of sticking a zipper somewhere, like on Zidane's tail or something as equally idiotic as Vivi's hat.

Zidane's my favourite FF character, so I have to say I'm a bit picky, but I absolutely love the new design. It's great to see him with the Mage Mashers there and all, too.

I just hpe they keep on making those FF and DQ games, those are the RPGs I practically live to buy. Ahh yess, I've been playing those since I was a young 3 year old. I'm 15 now.

I like the FF series. I think it's dope, but I can't stand Dragon Quest. I've never liked it. Then again though, I only played it at EB games and just judged it on it's graphics. Does it even have a sweet story?

Ah, a true RPG fan, eh? >_>

The Dragon Quest series has always been great, with fun & challenging gameplay (something normally limited to the Job Class System games in the FF series). The stories might not be up to snuff against the very best of the FF series, but it's certainly better than over half of it, I'd say...Oh, and if you mean DQVIII, then you're off your rocker, not only does it kick ass, but it's one of the best examples of good cell shading in a game!

I always see it at the Movie Gallery (local movie and game retal place.) I just see it and waltz on by it, maybe I'll check it out.
