Firstly, Ben Harmer has come out of the blue with the announcement that a nearly three hour long Chrono Cross audio drama is complete. Divided into four parts, the audio drama features remixes / arrangements and ambient sounds in the background while voice actors and narrators tell a Chrono story happening during the time of Cross. Magus and the old gang definitely show up for the party; it's like sitting around a campfire or in the presence of Homer and hearing a grand tale. The experience is new and engrossing in the realm of fan work; check it out
here, and don't miss my interview. Secondly,
takrockers!! has released a new Chrono Trigger music doujin that's probably the best yet. Called "Journey Through the Brilliant Days", it features rocking, awesome-sounding tracks. Highlights include a rock and roll rendition of Reckless Robo Gang Johnny / Bike Chase complete with vocals, and a suite of songs dealing with Zeal and its family -- you must hear Magus's theme with the female vocalist's quasi operatic singing. The other selections don't disappoint, especially the Tyrano Lair / Ayla's Theme / Primitive Mountain medley. You can probably buy it through their site, but if not, feel free to talk about how awesome it is with me in private. Thanks to Radical_R for the heads up. Lastly, the winner of the Compendium's Fall 06 Fan Fiction contest is Cyrus Knight, author of Cyrus Resurrection. He gets the Poet of El Nido rank on the forums. Keep in mind that you have until the end of May to submit Fan Art for the current contest.
