Dalton Plus uses Iron Orb in the SNES version too, typically in response to magic he can't counter (lightning, status-inflicting, non-elemental) and physical attacks.

He counters spells by casting the opposite. Interestingly, lightning 2 is the opposite of a shadow attack. I believe fire 2 and ice 2 should also have "counter:" in front.

I've recently figured out the Mystical Knights essential elements are as follows:

Ozzie - Lightning
Flea - Fire
Slash - Water/Ice

maybe this could be added to their bios. They should definitely be listed as Innates in the four elements page - http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/The_Four_Elements.html

here's my rationale:

Ozzie casts lightning on Zenan Bridge, Slash cancels Water in the first battle, and Flea casts fire magic in Ozzie's Fort.

In the final 3 on 3 battle with them, they use Delta Force, which means that each one has one of the three elements. Slash clearly casts the Ice part of the spell. Ozzie and Flea casts seem to be reversed, but that probably has to do with the fixed animation of the spell and wanting Ozzie to fire off first.

In Chrono Cross, Flea is red innate, Ozzie is green and Slash is blue. So it fits.

BTW, in the Viper Manor entry, it should be said that "Death Volcano" is the music played in the sewers.

Earlier, this year, I started updating the encyclopedia with something I've known for at least a few years. Namely, that the dummy location names Woolsey translated as "Breakwave Pt" and "Eternal Repose" were 1000 A.D. inn names in the pre-release. (Choras and Medina, respectively.)
I decided to use the currently existing pages, after reasoning that the only reason "Singing Mountain" is separate from "Chanting Mt." is because the unused name is not the iconic, recognized name. I linked the locations in the pre-release's location article, but didn't go any further.
Now, what to do with the Chrono Trigger section for those articles? What's in there is speculation about the names were for, while I know for sure how they were used.

Some of the kana readings in a few pages are terribly wrong...
Leaper is an example. I know it's a largely trivial thing, but 「エイシトサウルス」　can not in any way be read "Aycit Snix." Instead it should read Eishitosaurus, or Aicitsaurus depending on your pronunciation preference. But the point is that it is definitely -saurus, not 'snix.'

Rust Tyrano is similarly attributed:

Japanese: ルストティラノ
Translation: Rust Tyrano (can phonetically be "last" Tyrano, but the spelling doesn't suggest this)

「ルスト」 is pronounced roosto or loosto (long U sound) meaning it is more likely Roost Tyrano than Last Tyrano.
"Last," and "Rust," in katakana DO however have the same spelling: 「ラスト」

My guess is that a lot of the Japanese represented needs some TLC.

It's not the kana's that's wrong, what wrong is the Japanese text used on the page. 「エイシトサウルス」 is actually the Japanese name of the Gigasaur
Leaper's 「エイシトニクス」. (The retranslation calls it "Aycit Nix".)
Though some things may need updating. kWhazit's current interpretation on his site has "Ancient" instead of "Aycit".

Well, alright.
I'm looking through now.

I see what may be a problem here but I can't tell.
Amphibite and Croaker are both labeled the same for their DS name and Jp names

The Jp translation is correct for the word, but I find it odd that two generic enemies would have the same name.

Can anyone confirm this?

Black Tyrano's listing is attributed to Azala.
This could be accurate, but I don't know the original name of Black Tyrano is.

Well aside from the aforementioned uncertainties, I've finished looking through the Monster listings for Chrono Trigger. I fixed a few typos and misreadings.

Why are you redoing this on your own rather than consulting sources such as the retranslation first? On the Rubble page, you went and replaced a translation that was completely in line with the retranslation.

Also, according to dictionaries, 「ルスト」 actually does mean "rust", but its only entries on the Japanese Wikipedia are for people/places from Germany and Austria. So it must reflect the German pronunciation rather than the English pronunciation of "rust".

It should be easy to undo changes in the Wiki. Just revert to the previous version.

Obviously we need some sort of citation standard to ensure the internal referential integrity of our Encyclopedia materials is maintained with all our other resources.

I plan on adding more Encyclopedia users, so I may need to promote some of the existing editors to administrators on the wiki.
