My DS Lite is dirty
« on: June 24, 2007, 07:12:31 am »
To all ye DS lite owners: You know the plastic casing that surrounds the edge of the DS? Well, I got dirt in it. Does anyone know how to clean it without breaking the casing? I tried to use a toothpick/pin, but it ends up pushing the dirt to the corner.

if you cant reach it with a tooth pick/brush or anything like that try using a vacuum and a toothpick to loosen the dirt and suck it out.

Try using air in a can, that could help blow out the dirt.

get a PSP. that'll not only fix your dirt problem, but you'll have good games to play, like guilty gear, and armored core.

Sony is going down the tubes. The DS and Wii are outselling their counterparts 5 to 1 as of May.

That may be so, but I was of the impression that the PS2 was still the leading console in terms of sales.

I suppose, but I wouldn't take it as a point of pride that they're being outstripped by a last gen console.  Not to mention that I still believe the Wii will peter out.  It's an interesting concept but once the PS3 starts rolling out serious software (and hopefully drops their prices, or they're doomed) people will give up on the Wii. Mind you, I may just be clutching at straws out of brand loyalty.  Until such time as they call it done, though, I wouldn't count them out.

As for the DS, however, that's another matter. The handheld market has always been and will probably always be Nintendo's territory.  The PSP is to handhelds what the XBox is to stationary consoles.  An excellent system for people who like to play games that suck.

Guilty Gear is on DS too! And please don't go offtopic.
The vacuum and aircan idea are good, but it won't work, as it would be hard to leave the toothpick in and use the vacuum cleaner at the same time. I'll try it though.

use the toothpick to loosen the dirt, leaving it in there while vacuuming it wont do much >_>, if you can get something thin down the crack try coating it with glue and getting it out that way.
