Interesting, of course, in the sense that you marvel at how stupid people can be.

*has known Zelda Dude since 00*

Who wants to touch me?

But seriously. Zelda Dude's dickery goes far beyond what you know about him. Gamefaqs was simply his last hurrah.

Oh yeah, and I may even have a roundabout inconceivable way of getting ahold of him. Let us just say I know a gal that has a restraining order out on him.

Well, for all his strangeness in that theory, I must give this to him: he seems to know what dragoons actually are, seeing as he calls Radius a horseman. Beyond that, though...

I can also testify to the complete lunacy of Zelda Dude and his two alter egos, Cloud Strife and i9999... Let's just say he was a resident psycho of the same forum Archdeco and I came from and I found this place in search of trying to find out the true scope of his insanity.

It probably says they're cavaliers at the same place it says their musketeers, right?

They're not musketeers on horse back, their dragon riding knights! They have swords and lances, not a single musket. They ride of Dragoons, which bear not a close resemblence to a horse.

Cavalier is just synonymn for one of the meanings of dragoon, that of ruffian. In technical military type endeavours, they were musketeers who caried short carbines, prone to much fire and smoke like a dragon's breath. The problem with dragoon being used to denote somone who rather rides a dragon is as follows: there are no more dragons existant. I would concede the point quite gladly if there were, but I see no resolution, unless it is merely a throwback to an archaic age when they did ride dragons... which, I will admit, is conceivable. However, that would then mean that dragonians lived on the islands when the Viper clan took hold, only what, 200 years before Cross? I was under the impression they were all gone by that time.

Dragons are still alive even in 1,020 AD. Not the giant, flying Dragons of course, but the small "Chocobo-like" Dragons which cannot fly. Karsh and Zoah summon one in their Techs (and/or in their Double Tech, I don't remember exactly) and we can see some Dragoons riding those dragons in Fort Dragonia. There are plenty in Viper's stables too.
