Running shoes

I really like the New Balance RC 550 racing flats I've been using for the last several months. I'm even considering stocking an extra pair in case something happens to my current ones. Ever since switching to racing flats, my shin splints have disappeared and my form has improved, and I just love how light they are. The white & blue colors and conservative design also match the Air Force PT gear we wear perfectly.

So what do you run in?

And up until now I presumed you were male. How odd.

As for me...I just run in what I have, shoe wise, which are hiking boots at the moment. Not the best thing to run in, but I don't exactly have lots of money to throw around buying specific shoes for specific activities.

A surprising number of people think I'm a guy. Maybe I should put a picture of me in my sig, lmao. I actually think I'm a decent looking girl. ^_~ Ahh well, its what I get for being called Frankie. *shrug* I agree with the shoe thing though, I just throw on whatever I can find and stuff.

If I were into more outdoorsy stuff, I would probably buy nice sports shoes though.

Forgivable, since it's the internet...

I run in old, beat-up New Balance shoes. I'll invest in better ones when I can actually last beyond 2 miles.

I cant see why people would mistake you for a male...look at the sig...look at the avatar. Then read the Personal Text Quote.  :lee: Oh well.

I just run in my shoes. Nothing fancy.

Yeah, I'm with Magus here.  I thought the whole "girl that stole the universe" was a dead give away.

Mind you, it wouldn't be the first time a guy out there had a seemingly female sig, so I suppose it doesn't count for all that much.  Plus the pic could just belong to a Kid fan.

I'm more of a distance than a speed guy, and, loving as I do the beauty of the natural world, I incorporate a nearby park in my daily walk. So for shoes, I don't have street running shoes, but a pair of light duty hiking shoes that I wear for walks. Because I live in the Pacific Northwest, they're waterproof.

I can always be found sporting my Simple Shoes.  Took me a while to find another pair, since I've been from one end of Canada to the other and can only find the odd pair of women's Simple loafers in Sport Chek from time to time.  Anyways, Simple Shoes is a delightful little outfit based in Santa Barbara, CA.  The make the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, so I had to buy myself a pair and have them shipped up.  Lousy Canadian government shook me down for duty and GST when the UPS guy delievered them but they were worth it.  Their website has some designs I wouldn't mind trying, but since I don't know how they feel I had to stick with the Old School Runner, as they call it.  Don't much feel like ordering another pair up just to find out they're not as comfortable.  If anybody also happens to wear Simple and can provide me any feedback concerning their other models, I'd be much obliged.

Outside of that, when I'm on my bike, I have a pair of Adidas Wildtrails.  I have to say they were a bit of a disappointment.  Back in '99 Adidas had a shoe called the Sahale with I absolutely loved.  Very comfortable and it lasted.  For me, this was an acheivement.  I run through shoes like crazy.  The Wildtrail is the modern successor to the Sahale, but they're not nearly as good.  I believe I'll have to try another make.

Definetely.

Hm, running shoes eh. I only have two pairs of shoes I regularly wear, black school shoes and a pair of white sneakers. I'm not into the whole getting shoes for specific purposes sort of thing. I only bought black shoes for school, and now for work.

I only have one pair of all-around sport shoes, which I use for school sports(Badminton, Volleyball, Football/Soccer, Swimming etc.) and sometimes for other, freetimeactivity-stuff. When I start running, though, I don't have time to change shoes. Might get caught(if you know what I mean  :D)

If I were drowning myself, I wouldn't just wear any old shoes. Cheapskate.
