Best female character of all time?

i have to say Saria from Ocarina Of Time, i mean, shes Links best friend, and you can see theyre really close, but than he has to leave, and the only way she can talk to him is using the ocarina. She seems to like being alone, cause she hangs out in the sacred forest meddow through out the rest of the game. she turns out to be the forest sage, and realizes that she can never be with link again, and quickly and maturely accepts it.
sure, she looks like a kid, but they never say her age, so i'm for the saria x link thing ^^;;

anyway, who do you think is the best female character?

Well I think I remember that the kids their do not age or something like that.  I'm really not even sure who to choose for a best female character.  There's too many good ones :/

Well, I couldn't quite understand if the ...mythology meant that inclusive, but if that's the case I would say it's hands down Athene.

Yeah, she looks pretty tough and strong-willed. Hopefully they'll manage not to make another Tifa/Rinoa/DAGGER/Yuna female protagonist.

Oh and the absolute best video-game female character is, in every sense of the word, The Boss from MGS3.
